Not too far from the French Quarter

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: What I like most about the Hotel Modern is that it is pet friendly.
Location: Close enough to the French Quarter and right on the trolly line
From the moment I arrived until the time I checked out, the service was impeccable! I was warmly recognized and welcomed as a return guest by the valet and check in staff, offered assistance with my belongings to and from my room. They even remembered the name of my dog, Zeus, taking time to welcome him as well!

The first room did not have a closet, window, hangers, iron, iron board. The parking area was dangerous. The second room was fine.

NO-TX road trip

Posted Jul 13, 2015
We stayed 1 night, the hotel is ok but we found it expensive, $200, I guess it was because it was 4th of July , we decided our stay the day before. We chose the self-parking for $10 2 blocks away. Walking distance to French quarter, like half a mile.

Nice hotel

Posted Jul 12, 2015
We chose this hotel because it was close to the Smoothie King center. It was perfect for our needs. If I were on a longer vacation I probably wouldn't return to this hotel because it is a little too far from the Quarter.

Very good location for visiting D Day Museum

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, and valets were great!
Cons: The hotel is perfect for its primary demographic group. If they wish to have more families or older guests-certain things should be added.
Hotel is great location for visiting the museum. Rooms were extremely clean. Hotel is geared toward young professionals. Not the best choice for families.

Convenient and quirky

Posted Jun 25, 2015
It was a neat hotel in a good location. Easy walk to/from the french quarter, and right on the streetcar line as well. The only downside was that there is no ice machine in the hotel! Be aware- no onsite parking. Valet is $30, self-park is $10 in a lot a couple blocks away. Plan on easy to carry luggage if you're going to walk!

Easy hotel in the Big Easy

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: see above
Cons: nothing
Location: See above
Rooms were clean, bed was extremely comfortable, hotel was quiet, bathrooms were great, staff were courteous, fresh lemon water in the lobby was a nice touch as N.O. was very hot and humid. Location was perfect with the St. Charles streetcar taking us to the Garden District one day, we were in walking district of our convention at the Hyatt, and we walked to the French Quarter each day and to the street car on Canal which took us to the City Park at the end of the line. Central location was great so that we could park our car for 4 days ($10/day locked parking was available within a couple blocks of the hotel....staff told us of this option. Would stay here again as I did not have enough time to see all the art museums, galleries, etc. near the hotel....good eats are everywhere.

便利なホテル

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: 大きなホテルではありませんが、快適でした。 値段もいいと思います。
Cons: 特にないように思います。
Location: 中心街からは歩くと15分ぐらいかと思いますが、路面電車が動いているので便利です。 bourbon.

Average hotel

Posted Jun 16, 2015
The Hotel Modern in New Orleans was smaller than it looked on line. The room was incredibly small, the bathroom soap and shampoo containers weren't refilled during my 5 day stay, and the thermostat was motion sensitive so I would sweat all night long. Additionally, the hotel does not have any vending machines to purchase lower cost drinks. On the other hand, the restaurant and bar were comfortable with delicious offerings.
