Not the greatest location. badly laid out rooms.Posted Sep 20, 2014
The layout makes the rooms very small. Tiny little windows makes it feel like a prison cell. The operation feels like they're new to running a hotel. Front desk is just a small table in a hallway. Staff was very nice though so I would rate them higher than the room. The location is no where near anything fun.

Decent price / Good Service/LocationPosted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: The service and the location was good.
Cons: Room floors could have been cleaner. Also the original room they provided was directly facing the streetcar & kept me up all night (until 4am)
Location: Short walking distance to National WWII Museum, Magazine district, access to Streetcar, etc
Overall, I had a good experience at the hotel. It's little bit further away from the French Quarter, but you can get on the Streetcar directly across from the hotel. So in terms of the location, I thought it was great. I would have given a 3 star, but because of their service, I'm giving them 4 star. They went out of their ways to accommodate me. Originally I was given a 3rd floor room ( facing the Streetcar) and because of the Streetcar noise every 15 to 30 minutes it kept me up all night. When I mentioned the noise to one of the receptionists, he gave me a 9th floor room which was much better in terms of noise.

super friendly and helpful staffPosted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: staff is no. 1, easy going, felt like family
Location: great museums and restaurants just around the corner. easy to catch trolley and couple corner stores to buy beer.
hotel was clean and friendly, staff is excellent, love the accents. a little hike to French district but trolley stops right in front of hotel. room was a little small and awkward to move around but cozy. we did not go to the pool but were told that it's around the corner in a nice courtyard.

I expected better based on the ahead of stay callPosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: The location was great. The desk staff/concierge was knowledgeable and courteous.
Cons: Clean the room daily and replenish supplies.
Location: World War II museum; art museum. The trolley stops close by to take you where you want to go.
I was delighted to get a call from the hotel ahead of my stay. I was in New Orleans last year and loved the hotel I stayed at then. I was expecting just as great this year. I asked to be placed away from the elevator and for a good view. The person I spoke with was so pleasant and accommodated our early check in. But the room was right off the elevator and if I wanted a view I would have to stand on the desk. We did not spend much time in the room but still I was told one thing and delivered something different. The hotel maid was not much for cleaning the room. Empty water goblets collected up in the room during our stay. I had to ask for more shower gel. We just made it through the first day with the amount of toilet paper supplied. Debris on the floor was not removed. Maybe the vacuum doesn't work? On another positive note, our questions about ideas for different things to do were well answered and the suggestions were great. The hotel desk staff was pleasant and greeted us daily.

Very Surprised!Posted Aug 4, 2014
We needed to book a room at the last minute and this was the only hotel available. I was a bit leery by the pictures and the name of the hotel especially, since everywhere else was booked. However, I'm so glad we stayed here. In walking distance to many restaurants and bars...a short cab ride to the French Quarter. Very clean and the staff couldn't do enough for us.
