“great location”
great location in the French quarter walking distance to everything. free breakfast is certainly a plus and it is good. room are small but clean. Carousel bar is currenlty under renovation and was closed but it will be open soon.
“First trip to NOLA”
+ives: -Great location, easy access to Bourbon Street, Jackson Square etc. -Historic building with plenty of charm. -Buffet breakfast cures hangover blues. -Front desk friendly and helpful with ideas on which areas of town to explore -ives: Only one - during our stay the carousel bar was under renovations, however this also serves as a reason to go back after the 12/01/11 completion date.
“Great weekend”
They are currently renovating the restaurants and Carousel Lounge but should be complete in 2012. Still they provided a very nice free breakfast
“Perfect New Orleans Hotel”
Located on the best street in the French Quarter. Old world charm and style. Very congenial and helpful staff. Rooms are a little small but who cares - they are impeccable and service is great. Who stays in their room in New Orleans anyway.
“Disapointed”
Doormen didn't take bags, nor did they open the doors. First room was extremely small asked for another and they moved us. Carousel Bar was closed for renovations which was also disappointing. Bar service in lobby was terrible. Never had a drink in the hotel.
“Great place, currently under some construction”
Beautiful hotel and top notch service. They are doing some renovations and the restaurant area is closed, however they have done an excellent job keeping the beautiful lobby intact and services normal. Simply a classy place in the french quarter, with a great roof deck pool.
“Loved New Orleans and the Hotel Monteleone!”
The hotel was under renovation at the time we visited and we were impressed at how they went out of their way to see that guests were as inconvenienced as possible. To compensate for the fact the restaurant was not available, there was a very good complimentary breakfast available to guests. Also, there was food available at the Carousel Bar. We thought the hotel was very much as advertised and in a convenient location and we were able to walk to everything we wanted to experience in the French Quarter and the rooftop pool was very lovely.
“great place to stay”
Great place to stay. close to everything and remains quiet. The bar is small and could have better service. Internet should be part of room charge these days. Most hotels you don't have to pay extra for internet service. Overall we had a great time and would recommend for people to stay there esp. if on foot. Great location. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
“Prime location with good service”
Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans blends historic charm with modern conveniences in a great location. The room was very comfortable and clean. Just be aware that this hotel is in the French Quarter so there is outside noise, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. We had earplugs. The Continental breakfast had superb fruit and pastries but we experienced a long line to get in on Saturday morning. The only downer was the parking charge for hotel guests and the extra charge for WIFI. Would like to see more of a break on guest parking and free WIFI.
“New Orleans Best Hotel”
What can we say. My wife and I arrived early and were able to get into the room and not miss any football on Sunday. The massive majestic doors to enter are impressive. The rooms just like 100 years ago, with amenities added. After too much bourbon on Bourbon St., I woke up and ordered room device at 330am,full menu, and it came in 20 minutes, faster than Vegas!! The concierge was witty and charming, the front desk courteous and knowledgeable, and the bellhop and valet service spot on. We will return to the Hotel Monteleone each visit to the Crescent City from this day forward. Loved it! - Sean and Jackie
