“Monday Night New Orleans”

“Excellent location in the French Quarter”

Hotel St. Marie is in a perfect location for reaching all the sights/sites of the French Quarter in minutes by foot. Small enough for a boutique feel, but large enough to have a fine restaurant and cozy bar/breakfast room, the hotel features private balconies with many of the rooms. A charming courtyard with lush plants contains a small, but refreshing (unheated) swimming pool.

Area recommendations

The Katrina exhibit on the 1st floor and the Mardi Gras exhibit on the 2nd floor are worth a visit at the museum next to the cathedral in Jackson Square. A short cab ride from the French Quarter will take you to Frenchman Row, lined with great music clubs. The Marsalis family owns Snug Harbor and most nights one of the family members performs there. In Treme, eat at the historic Dooky Chase's restaurant and the new Golden Feather, restaurant and visit Armstrong Park. The charbroiled oysters at Drago's (in the Hilton) are fabulous.

“Great Location would stay again”

Location was great, 1/2 block from Bourbon Street. Room was nice. Bar tenders friendly and very helpful. Front desk employees seemed busy, sometimes too busy to be friendly. They were helpful, just not friendly. I would stay here again. Loved the location.

November was an okay time to go, still a little muggie. Have been in New Orleans in early spring - Great Weather.

“had a blast!”

VERY conveniently located one block from Bourbon St. but still quiet. Nice, relaxing courtyard. Staff was polite & helpful. Would definitely stay again.

“Excelente Localization”

The best of the hotel is the localization. Only 1 block to the bourbon street, the most famous in new orleans, with a lot of bars... and other places to have fun. The hotel is also only 3 blocks to the Riverfont and the Canal Street.

Area recommendations

I would recommend to try to buy a ticket to any event in Superdome, the stadium of NO, and visit the French Quarter and River Font.

“Location, location, location.”

It's the perfect distance from Bourbon St. Close enough to walk everywhere you could want to go but just far enough from Bourbon St. that the noise does not keep you up at night when you get back to your room.

“Not impressed”

We paid extra money to get a room with a balcony. There was no mention that the balcony would be over the courtyard and have no chairs.

“Good location and updates are going on!”

Staff was friendly, the parking garage was great, the room was a little under-par since it seemed they were doing a lot of renovations to the 4th floor. The internal deadbolt didn't work, TV was broken and the electrical outlet didn't work very well. Staff made it right when I checked out by taking 1 day of parking off my card. How they have been able to keep the sounds of Bourbon street from not coming into the room is incredible!

Getting there

If you pass the parking garage, it's a nightmare to get back around especially once they close Bourbon Street off.
