Nice hotel and perfect location

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: The rooms were comfortable and clean.
We were a little concerned not knowing anything about this hotel but we were pleasantly surprised by this quaint hotel. The room was very comfortable. Most important part was the location. Just a block from Bourbon Street with no noise at all. Staff was friendly. Parking was expensive but worth it. You don't want to drive in the French Quarter.

Pros: location and staff
Cons: not the best condition, because of age of building, but comfortable and clean
Location: Downtown New Orleans

Bathroom costs it a star

Posted Jul 19, 2015
Good location, very gracious staff, charming decor, but still can't overlook the bathroom deficiencies: tub with no grab bar or even a spot to park a wet wash cloth, slow drain, variable water pressure; dressing counter outside the tub/toilet/sink area, which is nice, but dim overhead lighting, no magnifying mirror, only one electrical outlet (no accessible outlets for phone charging in the bedroom area), and a stool easily left positioned to whack a toe when using the facilities during the night.

Perfect for what we needed

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Close to everything, friendly staff, picturesque decor
Cons: smell, dirty under the dresser
Location: everything... french market, audobon aquarium, etc...
I went with my two kids ages 10 and 8 for our family summer vacation/my birthday trip. We arrived WAYYYYYY early (11am) when check in time was 4pm... The valet guy told me I could go ahead and park my car and the hotel let me check in early. So happy because I didn't want to try to find parking. Hotel is older so expect musty and small feel but I still find it beautiful. Kids didn't complain but the doors felt thin and weak. The staff were helpful and friendly except for on baggage guy... gave me attitude when I asked him to take a picture of my kids and I before our birthday dinner on the Natchez Jazz Cruise. It was close to everything we needed - Aquarium, French Market, Jackson Square, etc... it is next to Bourbon street so night time is busy and packed. Overall would return again. =)

Decent hotel in the French Quarter. Clean rooms but on the slightly dated side. Could use some refurbishment. Pool was nice.

Location Location!

Posted Jul 10, 2015
This hotel has pretty much everything you need that some of the other French Quarter hotels dont. Parking (Valet I might add), Food, Within walking distance to everything, pool, and it's quiet. The restaurant, vacherie, has some of the best food in town. I recommend for breakfast, the Boudin Benedict. AMAZING! The strwet side balcony doesn't have the best view bit it was nice to sit on at night. Overall in my top 3 to stay at in the Quarter.

New Orleans food trip

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Being in close walking proximity to every thing we wanted to do in French Quarter was great.
Cons: It was unclear about the restaurant opening timeframe. I didn't see any dessert on the room service menu either.
Location: The hotel is in the French Quarter of New Orleans and very convenient to walk to everything there.
Even though the hotel is one block away from Bourbon St, we didn't hear any noise from it. We were just there mostly for cooking class and culinary tours.
