CLOSE TO BOURBON STREET

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: STAFF IS FRIENDLY.
Cons: WE WERE ALLOWED TO LEAVE OUR LUGGAGE THERE WHILE SIGHTSEEING AS WE GOT THERE EARLY. IT TOOK CLOSE TO AN HOUR AFTER WE CHECKED IN TO GET OUR LUGGAGE,
Location: CLOSE TO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. WE VISITED CEMETERIES AND RODE THE STREETCARS TO SIGHT SEE THE GARDEN DISTRICT.
SHORT WALK TO BOURBON STREET. WE DID NOT EXPERIENCE THE NOISE FROM BOURBON STREET VISITORS BUT AT 3 AM, WE WERE WOKEN UP FROM THE NOISE OF THE GARBAGE TRUCKS PICKING UP GARBAGE. ON THE PLUS SIDE THIS HOTEL IS WALKING DISTANCE TO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION.

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel St. Marie

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Location & hotel staff hospitality & friendliness
Cons: Microwave in the guestroom would be an ideal
Location: French Quarter, close to many places to eat, drink and entertainments
We stayed at St. Marie during Jan 17 - Jan 21 (Sat - Wed) to celebrate my birthday, overall we did enjoy our stay, hotel staff were friendly & informative. The hotel location is great, right in French Quarter, walking distance to the entertainment areas, restaurants, bars. but far enough to not be too noise. We would recommend this hotel to anybody, couples or family.

Nice hotel in French Quarter.

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: The location was great and the hotel was really nice to stay in.
Cons: Could have used some blankets. Also I felt the parking was overpriced at $28/day.
Location: Close enough to easily walk to Jackson Square and most attractions. Many restaurants within 2-3 blocks. Many nice small shops. Very good location!
Very centrally located. Everyone was courteous and helpful. The room was very clean. Food in restaurant was very good and not high priced. The hotel was quiet and enjoyable.

Rooms were very dark.

Posted Jan 18, 2015
Pros: The decor was pretty and most of the staff were friendly.
Cons: The lighting and it could be a bit cleaner.
Location: Excellent location. Just far enough off Bourbon Street to escape the noise. Everything I wanted to do was within walking distance.
The rooms were very dark. We had to take the lampshades off to have any light. I think they need to do something about the bulb wattage. The showers were not very hot and the room had a bit of a musty smell. I realize this is a old building, but you can do something about the lighting. The walls were a bit dirty in places also. The last day we were there the cleaning staff got in a big argument in the hallway. We could hear them yelling at each other. The valets and most of the front desk staff were very friendly. There was one person at the front desk that never even looked up from what he was reading when people came in the front door though.

Location location

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: We liked having a restaurant right there and a bar with Happy Hour deals. We tried a few new cocktails and some delicious alligator sausage.
Location: We were able to walk everywhere or we took one of the trolleys.
Location is a short drive off interstate 10. Very convenient and right in the French Quarter. We arrived at noon and were able to have our car parked right away. Check in was efficient and friendly and fortunately for us, our room was ready so we didn't have to stow our luggage. We went directly to their cafe for a sandwich lunch. Again very friendly staff and a most delicious lunch, both pleasing to the eye and stomach.

Noisey

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Staff was nice and very helpful. Hotel is nice for a old building in the quarter. A lot a slamming of doors that was very annoying and the regular resturant has food that was some of the most terrible I have ever been served
