Stayed two nights in a king room with a bathroom that also came with a living room (including fireplace) and kitchen, making it more like being in an apartment than in some generic hotel room. They even had real keys. Friendly, helpful staff and a great location for getting around to eat and hear music in the French Quarter. Highly recommend it.

My partner and I spend 3 nights at the Bourbon Orleans and had a wonderful time. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Location can't be beat. It is walking distance to the bars, resturants, and shops but our room facing the court yard was quiety and lovely. I highly recommend this hotel. Best of all it has a rich history with haunted ghost in the ballroom, or so we were told.

We LOVED LOVED LOVED staying here, came for my birthday weekend. Hotel/mansion is absolutely beautiful and elegant. Great neighborhood, close to everything; Frenchman St., Bourbon St., Canal Street - all walkable.
Hotel staff helpful without being overbearing. Small fridge for water, drinks, etc. Small room, but again, elegant. Coffee, Cucumber & mint water, apples always available. Wine and Cheese hour (we missed this, but nice it was offered). Next time we are in New Orleans, we will definitely staff at Melrose. THANK YOU!

I recently stayed for 3 days at the Cornstalk Hotel. My spacious room, filled with period antiques, boasted a large chandelier, flocked fabric wallpaper and leaded stained glass windows. My bed was supremely comfortable. Outside my window was a huge balcony overlooking Royal Street. The Cornstalk Hotel is close to almost everything in the French Quarter. The staff is extremely competent and helpful. Coffee is served downstairs in the morning that you can take to your room. When I visit New Orleans again, I will definitely stay at the Cornstalk. For elegance and charm, plus a wonderful staff, no other hotel can match it.
