New Orleans Stopover

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Location is great, an easy walk to the fun of Bourbon Street but far enough off that you don't get room much noise when you decide to pack it in.
Cons: It's too bad there isn't on-site parking arrangements, but the lot they recommended was secure and reasonably priced.
Rooms are pleasant and modern for such an old hotel.

Great Location

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Courtyard and housekeeping could have been better
Nice room but small. Courtyard and office was minimal at best. Wonderful location if you do not have a car. Easy walk to French Market, Bourbon St and public transportation.

Very clean hotel

Clean hotel, comfortable bed, nice room. It had a great balcony with seating available to hotel guests. There was also a so-so courtyard. There was no bar or restaurant at the hotel, but plenty of places nearby.

Great hotel just close enough.

Pros: Location and cleanliness.
Cons: The hairdryer is horrible. I would have packed my own had I know it was the size of a toy. I think is was only meant to dry the hair on a Barbie.
Location: Within walking distance of Bourbon Street, Jackson Square and with a little effort, Frenchman Street. Also a short walk to hop on the trolley.
We spent a long weekend in New Orleans, staying at the Inn on St. Peter. Room was very clean, bed was super comfy and staff was exceptional. The hotel is far enough off Bourbon Street to get away from the noise but close enough to walk to all the action.

Good location, could use some restoration

Posted Mar 4, 2014
First of all, we started out a little bitter as upon arrival there was a dirty towel hanging up behind the door, and another small hand towel hanging over the curtain in the shower. They were obviously used, as you can tell by the wrinkly/used look and feel. Nothing like the fresh ones you have on the towel rack. This made us a bit uneasy about the cleanliness of the rest of the room, but it seemed alright. We told the front desk and the gentleman was a bit surprised but was nice and had someone come and get the towels. Overall it was a decent stay. I went there this past weekend for Mardi Gras. The location was great for when I wanted to get away from the crowd and relax. Due to Mardi Gras, we were unable to park on the street. They suggested a parking garage nearby. Normally it ran about $20/night, but due to the festivities, it was $160 for three nights, which was pretty steep. The courtyard area could definitely use a bit of restoration, it was a bit grungy, for lack of better term. The rooms were nice, albeit very small. Glad we brought ear plugs due to the festivities. Even with the parking expense and towel issue, I would still consider the stay again. Things like that can happen anywhere. It was cheaper than other hotels in the area, and when I'm on vacation, I try not to spend a ton of time in the hotel anyways. It had a nice bed and good bathroom, which is all we really needed.

Beautiful rooms with lots of character

We had a one bedroom suite - very spacious rooms and a huge comfortable bed. A short walk from Bourbon Street so very easy to get to everything in the French Quarter but also peaceful when you need to escape.

Cozy hotel but customer services is lacking!

Posted Feb 15, 2014
We stayed at the inn on st. Peter February 9-13, 2014. The room was great and really clean. However, the staff weren't very helpful. Check in lobby is a tiny area and finding the entrance wasn't the easiest. But the location is great, we walked everywhere we wanted to go. I would consider staying again.

Updated but disappointing

Posted Feb 14, 2014
Pros: The rooms have been updated recently. New furnishings and paint.
Cons: Bathroom could use a little more work. Cracks and nasty walls.
Location: This hotel is out of the way. Its not close to much of anything. Its about 3-4 blocks off Bourbon Street but 7 to 12 blocks from any good restaurant.
This Inn was a little disappointing. There were no vending machines and they sell water at the front desk but ran out the second day and still out of water on the third day. The housekeeping was horrible. They made the beds and replaced 75% of the towels each day. Never once wiped down the sink or anything else in the room. On the third day they showed up at 5:00pm right as we got back to our room for the night. They did not even replace the toilet paper. Ordered delivery for dinner and had to go out of Inn to the street corner to get it. They do not permit anyone to come to your door. They advertised a courtyard being located near our room, however, there was no place to sit. It was a brick patio of sorts that you could look at. The main courtyard was located near the front desk area and housed the only ice machine. In order to get to it from where our room was located meant you had to go out to the street around the corner and half way down the block to reach the entrance. Not a trip to look forward to in the dark. Next time we will be staying in a name brand hotel that is much closer to everything.

Close to Bourbon Street

Posted Jan 7, 2014
The hotel was close enough to walk to Bourbon Street but far enough away to be quiet. I feel the location was excellent. The hotel staff was outstanding and the quaintness was exactly what I was looking for. I will stay here again.
