“Wonderful service”

My luggage was lost by the airline, but when I arrived at JW Marriott, they supplied me with everything I needed until my luggage arrived (3 days later). The staff was friendly, gracious, and willing to help. I don't usually write reviews or take surveys because I travel a lot and hotel staff don't often strike me as exceptional. The staff of the JW Marriott, from the desk clerk to the conceirge to the doorman, were wonderful.

Area recommendations

I liked the arts district with the Civil War Museum and World War II museum. Fascinating historical treasures within walking distance.

“FIRST TIME IN NEW ORLEANS”

VERY PLEASED WITH LOCATION & HOTEL, ENTRANCE TO PARK LITTLE TRICKY AS CAN NOT BE ACCESSED BY CAR FROM CANAL STREET , HAD TO MAKE 2 PASSES MUST ENTER FROM BACK OF HOTEL, EXHAUST FAN DID NOT WORK IN ARE BATHROOM LEAVING MIRROR CLOUDY, JUST 2 BLOCKS FROM FRENCH QUARTER, ALL ATTRACTIONS ARE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF HOTEL WHICH IS CENTRALLY LOCATED IN NEW ORLEANS. PARKING PRICES ARE A BIT HEFTY, IF YOU DON'T NEED A CAR RECCOMEND USING TAXIS, AS YOU CAN USE THE PARKING FEES FOR 2 MEALS DURING YOUR STAY. ON THE WHOLE I THINK THE HOTEL WAS GOOD QUALITY TO PRICE RATIO. I WOULD RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL TO MY FRIENDS GC FROM CLIFTON NEW JERSEY

“New Orleans Best”

Clean comfortable room. Elegant lobby. The best was the service people that worked at JW Marriott. They were an 11 out of a 10. Perfection. Always caring and working to see how they could help and how they could make things better. Sleep late, breakfast in bed, pick up easy on tours I would tell you this is the perfect place to make your vacation the best.

Have reservations for all fine restaurants. If it is your birthday or anniversary they will all make it a memorable night. Mr. B's- delicious and upscae Arnouds- class and service that is perfection. The jazz band was a delightful romantic touch and the food was superior. Cafe du Monde- a lot of sugar and a cup of coffee

“no services”

Lower end of the Marriott chain - no shop for buying snacks or notions - no room service available - terrible spa with very inadequate service levels. Too many other high end hotels in this area of NOLA to spend time at this location. There's even another Marriott just across the street!!!
