"A fantastic hotel in a beautiful city"
The hotel was in an excellent location in the French Quarter, it was clean, comfy and excellently maintained. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, especially Josh who provided us with a complimentary upgrade and was always willing to give tips on places to visit and eat. Everyone was very friendly and greeted us with a smile.

"Friendly staff and free parking!"
This affordable jewel is located two blocks from the French Quarter and offers FREE monitored parking. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was quaint, simple and clean. *The neighborhood is somewhat questionable, thus I wouldn't recommend the Empress to families traveling with children.

"Bienville House"
This small gem of a hotel was just right. The staff is very friendly and helpful But I would say the one major drawback is the lack of a dining facility. Every morning we would have to hunt for a good breakfast when it would be much easier to dine right in your hotel. The other thing is the freight train issue. Seems that every night about 3:00 am a freight train passes right near by the hotel with whistles bellowing in the night. If you are a sound sleeper this is not a problem ;-)

"Will stay there every time we are in New Orleans!"
I booked this place at the absolute min and was a little nervous. We got there at two in the morning and the neighbor hood looked a little sketchy. We got our key and our little map to the room oit of a lock box cause the office was closed. Walked thru a little locked gate up to our room and it was just so neat. Very new orleans. Our room was so cute, very old school charm. A huge king sized bed and a twin xl in the room, fridge and a tv, along with a few dressers and an iron. Great water pressure. Out side down in the court yard was So awesome. Words cannot express how much i loved it. They served a small breakfast in the morning but we wanted to go to a resturant and when i asked the staff they told is to go to waffel house... not quite what we were looking for so we walked around and found the ruby slipper which i deff. Recomend. So if your looking for authentic new orleans stay here, you'll love it!

"Excellent hotel located in French Quarter"
Took the wife and two kids to New Orleans for a long weekend, stayed at the Monteleone and would not hestitate to stay there again. Had no problems with noise or the party atmosphere of the Quarter and the kids were not frowned upon at all. Parking and check in/check out were easier than expected. Would recommend this hotel to anyone for any reason.
