"Great French Quarter hotel"
We booked this room because we wanted a hotel in the French Quarter but not right on Bourbon St. & this fit the bill. Also wanted a classic New Orleans feel, instead of a large chain hotel. We were extremely pleased! The front desk staff was awesome. The first few days we were there, the same girl that checked us in, Tyler, was working. She was great! Super friendly & she gave some great tour recommendations, then even helped us book one. The valets were great & very helpful getting us a taxi when needed. Pierre at the front door was very friendly & helpful. We loved talking college football with him on our last day there! We were upgraded to a balcony room overlooking the courtyard which was nice of them to do! We had been very excited to see on their website that their rooms had Tempur-Pedic beds as we have one at home. Unfortunately, our room did NOT have one--that was probably our one disappointment with the entire stay. We didn't mention it or ask about it since we had already been upgraded to a balcony room. And it really wasn't that big of a deal--the bed was still very comfortable! The bathroom was spacious & bright. Loved having a small refrigerator in the room to store the COMPLIMENTARY bottled water in! Also had free Wi-Fi throughout the entire hotel which was a must for us & not offered at some other hotels. The complimentary breakfast was decent every morning; pastries, waffle makers, eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, the basics. We would definitely stay here again!

"Friendly staff and free parking!"
This affordable jewel is located two blocks from the French Quarter and offers FREE monitored parking. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was quaint, simple and clean. *The neighborhood is somewhat questionable, thus I wouldn't recommend the Empress to families traveling with children.

"Great spot in French Quarter!!"
You are right in middle to anything you want to see. A short walk in any direction! Super clean hotel. Very friendly staff from the gentleman who parks your car and takes your bag, to front desk, and then to the lady who prepares coffee for you at breakfast! Coffee delicious!! N0 chickory! Your car is parked onsite for a fee. However, it's nice that you can go to your car if you left something in it or just to have it to travel somewhere. You will not be disappointed staying here!

"The Hyatt delivers again"
I love the Hyatt from previous experience, but this stay was a cake-topper. It was central to everything. Bourbon St. is literally a block away. A block away from Canal St and all the street car/ trolley stops. The room was picturesque, and had a balcony that opened to the view of the pool (we stayed in room 427) FYI: don't rent a car. We didn't and are glad. The traffic was bad, but made walking and riding the trolley an excellent alternative.

"Will stay there every time we are in New Orleans!"
I booked this place at the absolute min and was a little nervous. We got there at two in the morning and the neighbor hood looked a little sketchy. We got our key and our little map to the room oit of a lock box cause the office was closed. Walked thru a little locked gate up to our room and it was just so neat. Very new orleans. Our room was so cute, very old school charm. A huge king sized bed and a twin xl in the room, fridge and a tv, along with a few dressers and an iron. Great water pressure. Out side down in the court yard was So awesome. Words cannot express how much i loved it. They served a small breakfast in the morning but we wanted to go to a resturant and when i asked the staff they told is to go to waffel house... not quite what we were looking for so we walked around and found the ruby slipper which i deff. Recomend. So if your looking for authentic new orleans stay here, you'll love it!

"Convenient and charming"
My mom and I shared a room on a recent trip to New Orleans and LOVED the Hotel Provencial. It was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. Despite being in an older building, the room had most conveniences we wanted and was a nice mix of modern and historic charm. The breakfast service was standard but good, and the happy hour was a nice service. We missed having coffee service in the room, but there was coffee available in the lobby most of the day (they stop when the bar is open from 3-10pm) We also missed having a desk ... but it forced me to work less, which wasn't a bad thing.
