“Highly Recommend/Will Stay There Next Trip!”

My room was very clean, the bed very comfy, and I really enjoyed my stay. I was there over a weekend, and had clean towels each day; bed was freshly done each day too. One thing I definitely appreciated was the fact that the shower was a normal shower head, not one of those like you see in most hotels. The vanity was plenty big enough also. I highly recomment this La Quinta, and I will make it a point to book it for my next stay!

Area recommendations

Metairie and Kenner are nice areas to stay in. Downtown New Orleans has all the party-attractions and all, but it's pricy and parking is expensive. Both Metairie and Kenner are a very short trip down the interstate.

“Great Price and Great Quality”

After reading all of the reviews, I was nervous about choosing LaQuinta as my hotel. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, no odor, the beds were nice and fresh, and the bathroon was spotless. There wasn't a flat screen tv, it was a regular tube tv, but who cares, I was there to have fun, not to sit around and watch tv. Downfall: there was no fridge or microwave in the room. DO NOT EAT AT CITY DINER (located in the parking lot of LAQuinta) , food was terrible. The location was perfect for me, just outside of downtown new orleans, so travel time was brief...the service road is complicated to locate the first visit, but once you find it, it's no big deal. Never got to try continental breakfast because I wasn't up before 9, I was in New Orleans after all! Overall good hotel, would possibly stay again, they just need at least a fridge or microwave!

“i was very impressed”

I thought it was going to be a dump of a hotel when i first saw it but when i got to my room. i was not disappointed.

“I wouldn't stay again if I didn't have a dog”

The only reason I stayed at this hotel was that I could stay with my dog without any pet fee and I was out of the room all day. The room was old, not really clean and extra HUMID. The hand towels had something black on them. I didn't use it but I hope it's not mold. Also it smelled strange when I entered the room, probably because of the AC with dirty filter

“really nice comfortable hotel close to downtown”

I stayed in this hotel for three days with my friends. I was exchange student from Ukraine for one year at that time... trip to New Orleans Jazz festival was my last one in US before i went back home... It was really amazing and it was really good choice to stay in La Quinta. It's clean, comfortable, not very expansive and 10 min from downtown.

“We were there just a short time”

We requested a nonsmoking room and we were put in a smoking room. Overall we had a great trip, this property just wasn't up to par with some of the others we have used.

“Ok for price.”

The room was very clean. Hotel staff was good. My only complaint was there were so many carbs on the breakfast buffet & maybe one protein. Overall it was a good stay.

“not great”

The door to the hotel room was not very secure. the heater did not work. No trashbags in the trashcans. Ok but not great.
