not bad

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: beds are small.
Location: Mc Alister was good, recommend everyone to try it.
Although I booked the room for 4 adults and a kid, when I wanted the receptionist to give me an extra bed, she said that there is no extra bed available!!! the double beds are not so comfortable for 2 adults to sleep on. so we didn't have a good sleep. but the room was clean and the staff was friendly. it would be good for two in each room.

Hotel stay

Location: A lot of stores near by what you expect in a suburb.
The stay was great my room was clean and the staff was very helpful. I didn't realize it was so far from New Orleans, 30 minutes.

Appropriate Rate for the $$$

Cons: There is a dampness to the carpet even though it was clean. Overall the room is clean.
It was an overnight stay, we were passing through. The room is clean, there is free continental breakfast and staff were professional.

Nice place

Stayed one night to attend a wedding. Easy to locate and price was right. Good amenities--hair dryer, iron, full length mirror, good lightning, good working a/c. Good restaurants nearby.

A bit obscurely located, very nicely kept

Location: There are some very good mom and pop seafood places near by. Yelp them up.
Particularly appreciated was the direct, simple wifi. No browser "portal" page.

NIce Staff

Was in town for the 25th Essence Festival. I was about 35 miles from downtown New Orleans when the reservation was made I was old that it was close than it actually was. I arrived on Thursday the 3rd of July.. I arrived early so the staff allowed me to check-in early. I really apppreciated that considering I had been driving for 11 hours with kids.. The first nigh was unbearable due the AC UNIT not working properly. I complained to the manager on duty the next day. I was told that the unit would be fixed that day. I was called while out at the Civic Center and told that the unit had been switched out and was now working properly. That was the only problem I had with the hotel other then the distance and that was fixed rather quickly.. The staff was great and willingly to help with the fixing of the AC UNIT...

Nice hotel in odd location

Posted Jul 3, 2014
The stay was excellent. Room was very clean. Even had a mini kitchen. The hotel was in a weird spot. We thought we were booking a Houston hotel and ended up 30 miles North. There is nothing around it really.
