Not quite the experience I was expecting.

Posted May 16, 2015
Well... While we were staying they had to turn the water off for a few hours and after that water temperature and pressure was not the same. I called early in the morning because my water wouldn't get hot and was told that no one would be able to help me for about 2.5 hours... There was no mini fridge or access to a microwave... The hotel is really cool looking and there is obviously a lot of history there but for the price we paid I wasn't very impressed with the accommodations or staff.

Noisy room

Posted May 16, 2015
Noisy room, construction work in the room next to us early in the morning, valet people nice but all other staff unfriendly. Guess you get what you pay for. Stayed here because I ate at Desi for my birthday, which was also average.

Old building with small rooms

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: The price, breakfast
It is an old building with small rooms, no break fast !! There is no match between the cost and the expectations

No continental breakfast. No swimming pool. No Jacuzzi. Just a place to rest while you tour the city, very clean

Nice room and we'll located

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Cons: The street car station is right across the hotel and for sensitive sleeper it could be a problem. It runs past mid night and stops every 20 min.
Location: French District is only few minutes away walking.
Very nice room recently and nicely renovated. Friendly staff. Good location only few minutes walk from French District.

Great Location!

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Location, helpful staff.
Cons: A small in-room refrigerator would have been nice.
Location: See above.
The night we checked in there was a free concert in Lafayette Square next to the hotel. The next day was the start of the four-day French Quarter Festival with 23 stages of free music and lots of good food and beverages. The hotel was in walking distance of three museums and about 20 art galleries as well as many excellent restaurants. It's a historic hotel, which has been refurbished, so it has lots of character and somewhat small rooms and fewer amenities than newer hotels, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel, great people!

Great small hotel about a 10min walk from the conference center. The staff were all super friendly, and even lent me a phone charger while my luggage was lost, then an umbrella when it was absolutely pouring outside.

Good location for our purpose

Suite was spacious. Suite between the elevators was most quiet according to front desk staff.
