excellent small hotel, great location.

Pros: everything
Location: see above
Beautifly restored 1830's residence, smallish but immaculate room, maid service excellent; Very quiet. 1 block from the intersection of Esplanade & Decature in the french quarter, the center of great music and indigenous food, decent rates for New Orleans.

Great location and cute

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: The staff, particularly Jonathan, were lovely people. The bed and pillows were really nice. I loved the historic aspect and look of the hotel.
Cons: Less slippery tub, but that was soon to be fixed. There was some noise early in the morning 7-8am that was like a phone on speaker or perhaps a radio
Location: French quarter is right next to it. Envie coffee is excellent and only a block away. Frenchman Street is only 2 blocks away.
This hotel was exactly what we needed. It is right next to the French quarter, but where it's quieter so you can sleep. The staff is super friendly, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. Our room was pretty small, but that didn't bother us much since we were only in it to shower and sleep. However, our friends had the room next door and it was HUGE! The tub is a little slippery, but the staff said the tubs were going to be painted soon to have a rougher bottom surface to prevent slipping.

Quite, beautiful hotel right by French Market

The main house of the hotel is done in original period style-worth the little bit extra to feel like your sleeping in a room of Victorian mansion. Perfect distance from the noise of Bourbon street. Nice courtyard and pool!

Fantastic location

The hotel staff were welcoming and lovely. Great rooms and so close to Frenchmans street where our group preferred to frequent. We were in the rooms in the other property, which we didn't mind but some may prefer to be in the main hotel. Would definitely re-visit.

Great location & staff. Nice building.

Pros: Location & staff.
Cons: The rooms could benefit from a little make-over.
Location: Next to the jazzy\charming Frenchmen St. Walking distance from all the excitment of te Frenc Quarter.
This hotel occupy 3 different buildings. A 3 storeys and a 2 storeys and either side of the pool and garden, a a third, 1 storey building, one street West of Esplanade. During our stay, we were given the opportunity to be upgraded 2 times, thus ending our stay in a somewaht historic (large) suite. The location is great; right next to Frenchmen St. and a walking distance from Bourbon\Orlean St. The staff was very helpful.

From the moment we arrived until the time we left , we had a first rate experience. Friendly and competent staff provided first rate service and great recommendations for dinner and entertainment. They genuinely appreciated us staying here and it showed. We look forward to our return visit.

Wonderful experience! The location is perfect you are walking distance from everything. Our stay was amazing and this hotel was perfect. The free coffee in the room was great for my husband who always has to have it in the morning.
