Nice Hotel-great staff

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: the staff was so friendly and helpful. the food was delicious. I loved the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the evening.
Cons: the room had dust in a lot of places. i was disappointed in that. my room was cold and I couldn't get it warmed up.
we had a great time. the hotel is beautiful. very elegant. I didn't see any ghosts. I was happy about that. the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the evening were an added delight. I also liked the turn-down service. there were two bottles of water, cookies and tomorrow's forecast right on the bed. it was very nice

Classy hotel. Great staff

We stayed a week and loved every minute. Front desk staff were great as were the room attendants. So friendly! The Conceirge, Pierre, took great care of us and went above and beyond in making suggestions for tours, dining, music and more. Can't thank him enough. You should go and stay here!

25 anniversary celebration

Pros: Everything from the door man in top hat and tux to free coffee every morning.
Cons: A little dusty in some areas. Hot water was spotty in our room.
Location: Close to everything, garden district, french quarter, art district, lots of restaurants. Just perfect.
Excellent hotel. Absolutely beautiful. All staff was extremely helpful and polite. Loved the pb&j in lobby at night. Turn down service every night with slippers, bottled water and cookies. Great location close to everything. Pool and hot tub on the roof was amazing every night. Highly recommend. Loved it.

Great location!

Pros: Friendly staff, great location, lovely architecture
Great location. We were easily able to walk to French Quarter, WWII Museum, Lafayette Square, French Market... No transportation required! Kind and helpful staff. Pierre, the Concierge arranged great City Tour and Swamp Tour. He set us up to totally experience the Crescent City for the first time. We wanted a hotel that was historic, quiet and full of character. Le Pavillion was the perfect choice!

nice hotel with very friendly staff. Great historical ambeince and old charm. Only issues were that bed is very soft and uncomfortable. Also shower has very low pressure so not very refreshing. However everything else was great.

Well Located But Not Aging Well

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff; central location.
Cons: Upgrade the bathrooms, charge 10-20% less to compete more realistically with comparable hotels in the area.
Location: Despite lack of scenery in immediate vicinity, hotel well placed to walk to Warehouse district galleries, Superdome, French Quarter, trolley.
I was disappointed overall in Le Pavillon, especially for the price. The room itself was well appointed, but the bathroom and fixtures were old, the tub/shower small, and trim in need of repair & paint. There was no view from our north side room, just another building across the street. The food at the restaurant was mixed in quality from excellent to "Denny's." The building is showing its age and could use upgrades. I wanted the convenience of a central location and the ambience of an older hotel, but in the future I'd choose a good B&B on the east end of the French Quarter (away from the noise of Bourbon St.) or in the Garden District.

A pleasant surprise

Stayed here 6 nights for a conference. Walking distance to fantastic restaurants and the bustle of the French quarter. Old world chic. Clean rooms. Daily water bottles on the bedside table which is key after you hobble back from a night out on Bourbon St. Staff super friendly. A roof top pool, hot tub and gym as well. Free high speed and I mean high speed wifi property wide. Very happy with the place.

Beautiful hotel near French Quarter

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Cons: The bathrooms can use some TLC. The floors were old and there was not much room for toiletry in there. But at the same time it was very clean.
Location: Within 5 minutes walking distance to the Canal Street. 15 mins. to Burbon Street and the French Quarter.
This was a very elegant hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nicely decorated, clean, but a bit on the older side specially the bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable. Location was excellent. Away from the crazy busy but within 5 minute walking distance to Canal Street and 10-15 mins. to the French Quarter. We loved the 10 pm PB&J sandwich spread in the lobby. The hot chocolate was fabulous. We highly recommend the hotel.
