beautiful hotel in great location

Posted Mar 26, 2015
This hotel is full of charm and detail and the staff is great! This is the second time I have stayed here, and will always try to stay here when I am in New Orleans. This trip was for a work conference in the convention center. I liked that I was further away from the standard conference hotels. It was a short walk (4 blocks) to the French Quarter and about a 15 minute brisk walk (12 blocks) to the convention center (or a $5 cab ride.) This hotel was built to last and has substantial walls (unlike new construction) so you don't hear anything from room to room. The detail in the decorations are incredible, and you just have to love the evening free peanut butter and jelly sandwich and milk or hot chocolate tradition! And when is the last time you saw soap on a rope!! The beds are very comfortable also.

Old World NOLA With Every Modern Convenience

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: It is historic and gracious but still provides all the comforts and conveniences of a modern hotel.
Location: The hotel is a pleasant walking distance from the French Quarter, easily accessible by public transit, and close to great food.
From the moment we stepped through the door into the hotel's beautiful lobby, we knew Le Pavillon was a gem! Everything about our stay was excellent: friendly and helpful staff; large, comfortable room; rooftop heated pool and hot tub; prompt room service; and, of course, the nightly snack of PBJ and hot chocolate served in the lobby to all guests!

CHARM, ELEGANCE, MAJESTIC!!

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: Pretty well everything!!
Cons: We did feel that DAILY changing the hand soap in the sink area was quite wasteful - we were there for 8 nites. 'Soap on a rope' also changed too often
Location: Location allowed us to sleep because you are far enough away from the more active part of the city during the evening/nite..
What an absolutely beautiful hotel.......it is more than anyone could desire and the location is excellent. Upon entering the hotel - it was simply breathtaking! The chandeliers, furniture, drapery, massive expanse of space was superb! We loved staying there and would again in less than a minute!! The desk staff/concierge were never to busy to help out with ideas, directions, suggestions, etc. The room itself was VERY large - 2 queen beds, 1 table, 1 desk, 2 chairs, ironing board, iron, BIG closet, big TV, mini fridge - altho you had to pay $10/day if you wanted to use it???? The pool area was lovely - the view is spectacular. What more can I say.....simply a wonderful experience and one I'm so happy to have had!!!

Helpful staff and good location

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: The location, staff and old feel was really nice. It was a short walk to a streetcar or into the heart of the french quarter.
Cons: The room air conditioning was sufficient but could have worked better and cooled down the room a little more. I'm guessing it is difficult to handle.
Location: All the restaurants and bars with live music were great. Bourbon St. was good for a quick visit and then it was back to exploring the other places.
Very helpful staff that was eager to answer any questions about navigating the area. The consierge had suggestions and was available almost 24 hours/day. Nice friendly touch of having pbj sandwiches, hot chocolate and milk each night.

Something out of a movie... lots of character.

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Uniqueness
Location: Amazing location, far away enough from things for quiet but close enough to walk everywhere.
Incredible hotel, the attention to detail is magnificent. Although the place does give off some eery vibes at times... you never feel like you are quite alone.

Pros: very helpful staff rooftop pool
Cons: it would be nice to have a refrigerator for personal use. the bathroom had very limited counter space, and no good way to hang up towels to re-use
Spent 5 days, 4 nights in March. beautifully furnished, located adjacent to the French Quarter....easy to walk to, but away from the hub-bub. loved the roof top pool

Excellent hotel, wonderful service, nice location.

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: The building and the location are great. The staff is consistently excellent, friendly, and helpful.
Cons: We would have liked a mini fridge in the room to keep water cool.
Location: The location is quiet, but a very short walk to the French Quarter, the WW II museum, or the streetcar for the Garden District.
We stayed at Le Pavillon for a one-week vacation. It was our first visit to New Orleans and the Concierge was very helpful in giving directions and making reservations. The hotel is well-staffed and each staff member we met was helpful and welcoming.

Great hotel, close to the French Quarter

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: No
Location: Just blocks from the French Quarter. We didn't have a car and walked everywhere without any issues.
Wonderful experience. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is beautiful and close enough to the French Quarter yet still a couple of blocks away so you can escape the crowds and craziness. Highly recommend!!!
