Great location

Nice hotel. Quick valet and bell service. Bathroom slightly smaller than many luxury hotels, but nicely sized room, with excellent view of the river. Ample seating and desk. Quick elevators.

No room service

Posted May 15, 2014
I was very disappointed in our stay. For the supposed quality and apparent price, our stay was like a 1 star hotel at best. The front desk staff was rude and indifferent, unwilling to help with questions or simple requests. The hotel cleaning staff did not clean our hotel room until the last day, and that was because we finally specifically requested it. We left our room by ten in the morning most days, and was back by 4:00 to freshen up for dinner and we were always neglected by cleaning staff. We asked for fresh towels, which were delivered, but the bed wasn’t’ made, garbages weren’t emptied and used towels were not removed. We had a pile of towel in the corner of our bathroom higher than the toilet! The only helpful staff was concierge James.

Great time!

Can't believe we haven't stayed here before. Usually make time for their martini brunch but often stay at the W across the street. From now on we are staying here. the staff was first class. You felt that the staff was acutally talking to you instead of looking over your shoulder like certain other 'boutique hotels'

Best hotel I've stayed in New Orleans

Posted Apr 24, 2014
Pros: Location is key, with French Quarter accessible, but not hanging outside your door. It is nice to get away from all that every now and then.
It occurred to me that I have stayed in many, many hotels in New Orleans over the years. I have never stayed in the same place twice. This is for a variety of reasons, but usually comes down to value for my money. There is often very little spread in price between very nice hotels and more utilitarian hotels. Most of the hotels I've stayed in NOLA are beat. Either the guests are really hard on the property or the hotel is not keeping everything maintained. Either way, I don't like to pay $$$$+ per night on a ragged room with maid service that comes no sooner than 6pm (if at all). The Loews hotel had beautiful rooms, excellent staff, rooms cleaned by no later than 3pm.

We are deaf the staff entered our room prior our check out time to check and see if we take any snacks or drinks that sitting in our room which is bad idea. She said she did knock but still not supposed to enter the room until after we checked out.

Great hotel and lovation

Everything was wonderful. Few blocks from French Quarter. Friendly staff, clean room. Cafe Adelaide in the lobby which is a plus because it is one of my favorite restaurants in NOLA. Though there are cheaper places to stay, it is worth it!
