“Good except a plumbing issue”
Nice overall, unfortunately the toilet from the room next door backed up into my bath tub. The hotel responded quickly but I had maintenance, a plumber and housekeeping in and out of my room for a couple hours when I was already in bed :( There was no apology from the hotel for my inconvenience.
“OK hotel in walking distance to Franch Quater”
this hotel is OK for a short stay; good central location, from the airport you can use a shuttle which will bring you there for $20. Internet is for outrageous fee. Breakfast is good, but very expensive. Area is safe for walking, even at night. Would recommend, if the price is right.
“friendly staff and best hotel mattress”
the staff was very warm ,friendly and very accomodating. I usually have a hard time sleeping in hotels but their mattress was so comfortalbe I had a hard time staying awake. I would definately book there again.
“Room smelled, concierge was rude”
Room smelled musty and of an old smoking room. Concierge was helpful but rude in the process. Rest of the staff was great.
“Nice, but fewer amenities than a Super 8?”
The accommodations themselves were fantastic - comfortable, clean, and elegant. But it just seemed odd to have no complimentary breakfast, pay-for-play WiFi, and no airport shuttle. I was paying a reduced rate, but if I had been paying full price, I would have gone out of my mind with all of these little add-ons.
“lived it.. loved it. Gator BBQ oh yeah..”
we had a great view and a great time. the food was terrific. Our honey moon was terrific. The hotel was tuff to leave.
“will go again!!”
Great hotel!
“great location, food and conditions, not so great prices”
Great location from all of the fun places for downtown night life. A bit pricey though. Good restaurant, huge areas for conferences and other events if you want to plan it. Great view from top floors.
“Marriott New Orleans”
Nice hotel. Location was very convenient as it was an easy walk to the heart of French Quarter and the trolley was right outside the front door. Though the partying was just around the corner it was quiet and peaceful at bedtime. The staff was freindly and helpful. Room was small but comfortable. Flat screen cable TV was modern but made plenty of noise while on analog stations. Not that big of a problem. Had trouble sleeping in the king size bed. Feather bed is just too warm for someone from up north and the replacement blanket that housekeeping supplied was very heavy. Fan in the bathroom didn't seem to do much good. Couldn't keep the mirror from steaming up after a shower. Nice bar and meeting area off the lobby. Breakfast buffet was very good. Elevator system was state of the art. Little waiting to go upstairs. I'd recommend the hotel and would go back.
“Great location and service!”
Great location on the edge of the French Quarter. Service staff were the best.
