A big miss

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: nice architecture and good location
Cons: all
Location: ten or fifteen minutes driving to the most attractive area of the town
the worst hotel I have ever met. total abandonment, grimy, enclosed pool, safe not working, housekeeping service is not good, a big mess, room carpet very dirty. receptionists are friendly and try to help but can not do more.

I would not recommend.

The staff was very nice but that was overshadowed by the fact that there was a dirty condom under the couch cushion and the air did not work.

Don't do it

The air conditioning was broken and I thought I was going to die. The rooms were really small.

Hotel room was dirty, dashboards and walls. staff did not clean bathroom entire 3 days we were there. Staff was mostly invisible. The hotel felt deserted. No phones, clocks, curtains, hair dryers, fridge, or microwave in room. No staff to complain to. Peeling paint in hallway, no ice on any floor, does machine unplugged on our floor. New bedding on beds that was still creased from package. Filthy doors and walls in stairwell, filthy elevator. Faucets on sink backwards-hot was cold. Tub. drained VERY slow. Asked for more towels for pool never got them. Dried soap scum on very cheap shower curtain. Outlet between beds was dead. No coffee or cups for coffee maker. The list goes on and on. Do NOT stay here if you can avoid it.

No soap, no towels, no lights, pool was green on a 90 degree weather day! Smells light pot, seriously think this place should be torn down and rebuilt!! Save your money.

DO NOT STAY THERE!!!

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: phone, wifi, clean towels everyday, a more priofessional staff
Location: If 10 minutes to downtown New Orleans but it's not a very safe neighborhood.
The hotel wasn't what I expected at all, the location was in a somewhat unsafe neighborhood. The room was missing a lot of things, like a telephone to call the front desk, the wifi was not functionning. I was told to get closer to the window to get a better signal or to come in the lobby. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional, I requested a cabvia the night person for a morning appointment but the person at the front dfesk only called when I came down to ask if the cab was on the way. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Needs renovation

Posted May 20, 2014
My room was clean, I had clean towels and bedding. If I needed anything the staff was very pleasant. The hotel needs to be renovated since Katrina. They have put lipstick on a pig!! However for $50 a nite in NOLA you can't beat it!
