The staff is amazing!
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: Staff
Cons: Renovations woke us at 6am!
Location: Its a few blocks from Canal and Bourbon. Great location to the quarter and the CBD.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and recently they started renovations, like carpet, furniture, paint, and apparently the STAFF!!!! The staff was always the least appealing when we stayed there but recently the staff has changed and the attitude of them as well. We have nothing but good things to say about this hotel now!

Hotel for the low-maintenance traveler
Posted Jan 28, 2013
Location: The location is great! You can walk to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter is very close. I felt safe stumbling back in the early morning.
This hotel was fine for a spending the holiday weekend in NOLA. It was very clean, the front desk staff answered our questions and even called us a taxi in the early morning. It's a great hotel for people who are just looking for a place to sleep, shower, and pass out after partying all night. Our room was comfortable and clean. The AC worked great! I never woke up in time to try the free breakfast, so I can't rate that. I'd definetly recommend this place if you're looking for a cheap and comfortable hotel as a place to crash.

Good location but poor hotel
Posted Jan 5, 2013
Hotel is in good location for Bourbon street, french quarter etc. Hotel is in pretty bad condition. Non smoking rooms smell like smoke. Breakfast is included but is not great. We had our toilet overflow and had to move rooms. Rooms generally old and run down.

Cons: Checking the linens before putting on the bed.
The room was clean except for the sheets. They were grossly "STAINED" and very thin.

Pros: average room
Cons: bed
Location: great for location for most everything in new olreans
The staff did a good job and hotel was clean. I was surprised by $25 a night parking fee. and the bed was wore out it made you roll to the middle.

Frightful hotel
Posted Jan 22, 2013
Pros: nothing
The room was horrible. The toilet was not mounted to the floor. The front desk clerk assigned us to two occupied rooms before getting it correct. Very noisy hotel and unclean. We shortened our stay and lost money on the stay.

Ok but not for everyone.

Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: Size of room.Sponge bed blanket.Dirty air conditioner. Chemical "new furniture" smell.Cockroach.
Location: Convenient.
The room had a strong "chemical" smell the source of which seemed to be the furniture which appeared new. This smell did not go away but was less noticeable with the air conditioner on. As is usually the case with most hotels the air conditioner was very dirty and the filter was clogged with dust. This was a single queen bed room and was smaller than we expected. It would be quite comfortable for one occupant but I would not recommend it for a couple with a lot of luggage and clothes. The bed blanket was not fabric but a thin sheet of sponge which we had never seen before. The mattress was comfortable. We found a cockroach crawling on the desk on the third day of our stay. The front desk staff was very accommodating when we asked for an additional pillow and towel as well as late check out. The free breakfast was decent with flavored oatmeal, grits and Belgian waffle mix/waffle makers in additional to the standard bread, pastry, cereal, cream cheese, jellies and juice choices. There also were flavored Carnation coffee creamers and bananas. The location is good for access to the French Quarter, Canal and St. Charles streets just don't expect any "views". In general the overall experience was OK but this is not a place for comfort and a prolonged stay.

AWFUL hotel and RUDE staff!

The door to our bathroom was missing and when we asked the staff to switch rooms they were rude! We also payed for 4 people per room and they refused to give us enough towels for all four!
