Not a bad place for the price

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: The staff was very gracious, a fine example of southern hospitality.
Cons: Maybe let people know in advance if they are going to get a room without a window.
Location: Location is great, easily walk to the Quarter, casino, river, etc.
We had an eventful stay. My first piece of advice is to make sure you get a room with a window. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a hotel that had rooms without windows, but this one does. We tried to move to a room with a window but were advised that they were all booked. We decided to deal with it since we weren't planning on spending much time in the room anyway. Second thing that happened is that when we got back to the hotel after a fun night out, the power was out for the whole building. We had no option, we had to sleep there. Let me tell you, a room with no windows and no electricity was difficult. Power didn't come back on until the next afternoon. Even though it wasn't their fault, they ended up crediting us back for that nights room fee. We also got to move to a room with a window for our last night.

Nice hotel in great location

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: The hotel staff was extremely kind and courteous. The hotel was clean and inviting.
Cons: The only issue we had with our room was the air vent constantly rattled and made noise. This was very minor and did not really bother us.
Location: The location was the best part about this hotel. You were just a short walk from Bourbon Street, the St. Louis Chapel, and Cafe Du Monde.
We had a great experience at the Omni Royal Crescent. My husband and I went to NOLA for a long weekend and thought this was the perfect hotel. When we checked in and went up to our room, it had not been cleaned (towels on the bathroom floor, bed was not made, etc). When we called down to the front desk, they apologized and quickly met us with keys to a new room. All of the staff was very kind and professional. The location was definitely the best part of staying at the Omni Royal Crescent. It is only a few blocks from the center of the French Quarter so we weren't too far from all of the excitement, but we were far enough away for our room to be quiet and relaxing when we were ready to turn in for the night. Also, there is easy access to the Canal trolley and the St. Charles trolley (the trolley stop was just a block away!). We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to spend a fun and exciting weekend in NOLA!

Loved the location - easy access to everything!

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: The locatation and informative staff.
Cons: Well, I was disappointed that the room I stayed in didn't have a fan in the bathroom. That's really the only thing I missed.
Location: The French Quarter is just 2 blocks away, and access to public transportation was superb. Everything you want or need to do is within walking distanc
My experience was great! This was my second trip to NOLA, and I will indeed visit again. The convenient location of this hotel was perfect. I will recommend it to anyone planning a trip in the future.

Great location

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: location. it is close to the French Quarter but far enough to be away from the Quarter traffic. Also close to the Street Car lines.
We booked last minute online and most likely received the last room available. The staff was great to our three children. Each kid received an age appropriate activity which come in handy when eating out. The hotel is located a block from two street car lines so, getting around is easy. It is also within walking distance to the Insectarium and the Audubon Aquarium.

Completely overrated

Cons: Wouldn't hurt to have a new policy and coach their staff.
It's not our first time at Omni but reconsidering to choose those hotels again.

Good value hotel close to French Quarter

Posted Apr 15, 2015
This is a better hotel than I am used to staying in when I go to festivals in New Orleans. This has a great location if you want to be near the French Quarter, the water front and the arts district. The rooms are nice and clean and I suspect have been upgraded within the last few years. the staff is very nice and they have a small bar and dining room on site should you need these.
