Excellent location.

Hotel his perfectly located one block from Burbon street with execellent staff. Pool and outdoor bar on roof top is worthwhile to visit and relax. Our room was a special offer and we ended up with a small room - but clean and equipped with everything you need. Can't comment on food as we went always outside the explore the area.

Great location in the French Quarter

Posted Oct 21, 2014
This is a perfect hotel for wandering the French Quarter and the service is impeccable. Rooms are small, but the staff is so friendly and helpful that the overall experience is great. Be sure to check out the 7th floor pool and observation deck.

Loved the hotel!

The Omni Royal was excellent. Well situated close to Burbon street and shops. Lovely finishes through out. The only thing that could have made more enjoyable for us were queen sized beds in the room. We went for four ladies and found the double beds a little squishy....otherwise it was just fantastic!

Nice hotel, but too many extras...

Posted Oct 12, 2014
The Omni is in a great location, the staff friendly and room clean, but the sticker shock of parking your car and internet make it a less than fun experience... We parked our car for 4 days, during which we never took it out of the garage and were none-the-less charged $36 per day... In addition, and maybe it's the cost of coming to the U.S. there was an internet charge of $14 per day... In an already pricy hotel, I'd expect at least a little consideration for costs that nearly everyone would expect...

Petite room too Petite

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Staff and location was great
Cons: Size of petite room
Location: unbeatable location.
5 out of 5 if basing just on location alone. You can't beat being right in the middle of the French Quarter and a block from Bourbon St. All the benefits of being right in the action but no disruptions once back in the hotel. The only qualm I had was the size of the petite room. It was very small, too small. We were only in the room to sleep and to get ready to go out for the day/night's activities. With that being said, there was no room to open up a suitcase and access items, let alone unpack them. No dresser... only small closet and bed takes up 90 % of room footprint. Kept all items that weren't hung in small closet in bag which I kept on the bed when I wasn't sleeping in it; otherwise my small bag literally obstructed me from moving around the room if on the floor. Bathroom was just as cramped, toilet behind door small cramped sink. Staff was friendly and sent up free bottle of champagne for special occasion. Great hotel, great location. Get the deluxe room to avoid feeling cramped.

In the mist of the French Quarters, New Orleans

Posted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: Its location and its very beautiful with an elegant lobby/entrance.
Cons: Ensure that all of the items in the room are in place. For example, we were missing soap when we got in.
Location: French Quarter restaurants, The French Market, Bourbon and Royal streets are all close at hand.
Hotel is quite nice and very convenient to all of the things (i.e. restaurants, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street) that the French Quarters in New Orleans has to offer and enjoy!
