great location for all French Quarter attractions

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location
Cons: The standard room was small but OK for 2 people. It was updated & clean. No dresser to put clothes in and not enough room for 2 large suitcases.
Location: If you want a convenient location to Bourbon St. stay here. You can walk there in 5 minutes but you don't have all the noise.
The staff and services were excellent. Everyone was very friendly and willing to help.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the French Quarter

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: See above
Cons: nothing at all
Location: You are in the heart of the French Quarter. Close to restaurants, shopping, entertainment and sights, musicians and street performers.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful!! The bellman met us out front curbside giving us instructions on how to check in early while he unloaded our luggage and parked our car. The clerk was nice enough to upgrade us to a courtyard room for the same low price! Our view was exquisite and you could open your glass doors and step out onto your own personal patio area. Great for a romantic breakfast or relaxing happy hour. The room and bathroom were spotless! The staff could not do enough for us and were so very friendly. They made you feel at home.

The rain days you could not get a taxie. The shower and maid service was good.

3rd room finally worked out

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: In desperate need of remodeling and upgrade.
Location: Can walk to most of the sites
There were no bellmen to greet us in the front of the hotel so we had to carry all our bags up a flight of stairs to get to the lobby. The first 2 rooms they offered us were terrible. A fan in the hall way was so loud it was like there was a helicopter next to our room. Also, on the floor with the conference rooms. The second room was 2 doors down from the ice machine which sounded like a waterfall. Rooms were both noisy, cramped, and smelled of mildew. Can't believe they would put guests in either. It wasn't until we told them we were changing hotels that they bumped us up to a higher level room that ended up being very nice. This would be a standard room at most quality hotels. The hotel has seen some real wear and tear and is in desperate need of remodeling. Concierge was missing whenever we had a question. We can't recommend this hotel and probably won't be back.

Beautiful hotel

Gorgeous upscale hotel at a reasonable price in the heart of the French Quarter, New Orleans. Would definitely stay there again, hands down. I won't book through Expedia though (they weren't advocating on my behalf with an earlier situation that was for another stay at another hotel)

New Orleans Feb 2015

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: The hotel was perfectly situated in the French Quarter - steps from fabulous restaurants, Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, shopping etc ...
Cons: Absolutely nothing ... we had the best vacation ever.
Location: Have drinks on Bourbon St, see some Jazz bands at Preservation Hall and Fritzles, tour the French Quarter and learn about the history of the city etc
We had the best time in New Orleans during our 4 day stay. The hotel was perfectly situated in the French Quarter and would recommend this hotel to all that want to visit. New Orleans has it all ... history, great entertainment and wonderful restaurants. We are already dreaming of our next trip to Nawlings'.

Hotel staff a little uppity... but nice digs overall and great, centralized but quiet enough location with excellent views.

Great location! Close to everything! Safe area!

We come to New Orleans at least three times a year and this is the first time we have stayed at the Omni. The hotel location could not be more perfect! However, our room was so very tiny! I was disappointed at how small it was! They gave us a queen bed which is a little unusal these days. They wanted 9.95 for Internet and another $42 a day to park- hidden fees to be aware of. Everyone was very nice though.
