Perfect location, friendly staff

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: Good amenities, clean rooms, friendly service.
Cons: The convenience shop in the lobby could be 24 hours for some cold refreshments but there are convenience stores just a half block away, so no big deal
Location: Leaving the hotel, Cafe Du Monde is just a 5 minute walk to your left toward the river, and Bourbon street a 5 minute walk to your right.
Visiting during an off-season, hotel is situated in a nice quiet spot across from the court house surrounded by good restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff all work together to create a seamless experience for regulars and tourists alike. From the valet, to the bell staff, reception and housekeeping, they get you where you want to go. The pool is clean and a very nice addition being on the roof (7th floor), with an observation deck in addition.

Pros: area
Cons: The website we looked at said parking was included but we ended up getting a separate bill for the parking Kind of misleading.
it was in a very good area. Close enough to walk to everything but far enough away from all the noise.

Great location!

Pros: Location!
Location: Be sure to check out a cooking class at the New Orleans Cooking School - lots of fun and informative. Take the 10 AM class and you are set for lunch.
This hotel is conveniently located in the French Quarter, but not so deep that it is hard to reach as you can reach it via Charltres, which has easy access of the main roads. We were able to walk to everything, which is a plus. The hotel is older, but they have done a great job of keeping it up. You are able to get an elevator easily and once you are on your floor and in your room, the noise of the Quarter is very minimal. We had room service one night as we were exhausted from our day's events and the food was delicious. Our room was clean and the daily maid service was superb. We had a rental car, which was nice to have for some day trips, but the parking was a bit steep. On the other hand, the garage attendants were great - always had our car ready for us and once we pulled into the garage, they took care of everything. All in all it is a hard place to beat!!

What a wonderful hotel choice!

Pros: most everything
Cons: nothing
Location: This is in the heart of the French Quarter, near the waterfront, Jackson Square, fabulous restaurants and clubs...couldn't be better.
We loved this luxurious hotel with its rooftop swimming pool. Tremendous location with the most helpful, pleasant staff. This will be my first choice when and if I am in New Orleans again.

Excellent overall

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: location and quality
Cons: The only reason that I didn't give it 5 star is that we got bug bites during our stay, though we were not sure whether they were bed bug bites.
Location: located on a nice and relatively quiet street, near to several top restaurants, within 5 minutes walk to Jackson square and the river front
The location is perfect: near to all major attractions of French Quarter and yet quiet; the front desk was friendly, the house keeping staff were nice, the concierge was helpful; our room was clean (although it is small, it is ok and we didn't mind it).
