“Friendly and helpful staff”
The hotel is affordable and is in a great location. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. However, the hotel was undergoing much needed renovations. The carpet was in very bad condition in my room, and the mattress was hard as a rock.
“Nice place to stay”
This staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful. The location was great and the rooms were very spacious, comfortable, and clean. I would definitely stay at the Parc St. Charles again!
“Not so great”
The carpet was VERY dirty, over all the room was not very clean.Bathroom was not restocked. We were evacuated during the night (for our saftey, so that just happens) . There was a misunderstanding w/valet service and front desk that took 20 minutes to clearup causing us to be 20 minutse off schedual to the airport. New Orleans is one of my favorite places to visit, and the food is awsome, but NO,..I would NOT recomend the Parc St. Charles. I should have done more research,..I thought we were staying at the St. Charles not the PARC St. Charles.
“Super small rooms, terrible valet service, bad pipes! Beware!”
We were told that they couldn't valet due to the special event in the area, however, they still charged valet prices to park in their lot ($25/day). You pay to valet your own car. We were only given 2 towels for a family of four. We had to request extra towels each day of our stay. They never refilled our kleenex, tissue, soap, lotion, or shampoo. We had to request that twice. The hotel restaurant closed due to a special event. You would think because of the special event these things (valet, restaurant) would be open and for longer hours. The rooms felt like a closet. There was hardly any room to move around.
“Stay Away!”
This hotel was horrible! The only good thing about it was the location. The bed and the showers were clean! Elevators was broken. The stairwell had old furniture in it! They were painting during the entire stay! Another guest walked in my room w/ a key! (This happened to several other guests as well) After putting up with all the issues I asked the front desk clerk if I could use the mircowave she said no it was for employees only! After being locked out of my room because my key was deactivated I would have thought they could at least reheat my food! I would NOT recommend to a friend! They should close until they finish remodeling! Then they MAY be a 3 star hotel instead of a 2!
“walked to Bourbon”
Room was clean and service was nice. Smell was a little bad but it smelled like "New Orleans". Within walking distance of Bourbon Street which was a definite plus.
“construction and movie filming makes a mess”
The hotel was mostly quite nice, but was undergoing construction, which meant our room was hard to access, and that one day we did not get cleaning service (the cart could not make it over the torn up floor. The staff was helpful and pleasant, always going the extra yard to help with directions and information, which made up for the lack of room cleaning. Also, a movie was being filmed at night right outside the hotel, which also meant lots of noise. In other words, the problems with the hotel were idiosyncratic, and not totally under the hotel's control.
“won't be staying here again”
too much cigarette smoke & no paper in my both room's bathroom - the tissue box seemed like some body stuffed it back by hand
“Good location real easy find”
Hotel was in a nice location, rooms were alittle small but comfortable and the elevator was slow, but I would stay there again
“Clean, comfortable, great for the price”
This isn't a five star hotel but the room was clean and comfortable and the hotel is in a great location for the price.
