Great value!

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Clean, convenient, quiet and close to the action.
Cons: Rooms could be quieter. Some of the guests were really loud.
Location: Bourbon St. is one block away. Café de Monde, the river, fantastic shopping, and fabulous restaurants are within easy walking distance. Great!
The room was very nice, clean, and had character and New Orleans charm. We were close to Bourbon St., one block. We will stay here again.

Great place for the price and very nice staff.

Overall I can't complain but would suggest improvements to the technology in the room, specifically the fact they are rockin old school RCA televisions in an hd era. But other than that a great place to stay!!!!!

Good value in French Quarter

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: The location, staff and value for money.
Cons: The rooms are tired but this is reflected in the reasonable tariff.
Location: Walk down to the Mississippi and go on the Natchez river steamer tour. Great fun but don't bother with the lunch option.
This hotel is well located in the French Quarter very close to Bourbon Street but protected from the noise and partying. The rooms, while a bit tired, are clean and comfortable and offer all the facilities you need. The beds are excellent. The staff are charming and most obliging.

Overall. This experience was unforgettable. My husband and I left the kids behind and decided to spend some time in new orleans. The hotel was very comfortable. It's an older hotel but that's what gives it it's charm. I paid less than $100 per night but what really sucked was the $30 daily fee for parking. We didn't have to drive anywhere though since everything was pretty close.

family vacation

Posted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: room size and cleanliness
Cons: street noise
Hotel was very nice - good size room, comfortable beds, clean and very convenient to French quarter. Downside was very loud outside our room, Monday night visit, still had people outside our window screaming and yelling until 4:30 am Hotel was great, just very loud in the streets

Stay elsewhere please

The staff at the front desk were okay and the room was livable. No view and quite dark and depressing. You'd better read before you sign the paper work that they give you at check in. There is a line in there which allows them to stiff you over $30 a day for parking. This was not mentioned anywhere whilst booking and we only realize this when we were given a receipt as we were leaving.

Nice Hotel bad guests

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: The staff was great very helpful and really pleasant. The Bombay Club for dinner was a very nice surprise, the service was great and the food was good
Cons: The guests could be more considerate of their fellow guests, not something that the Hotel has much control over, sorry to say.
Location: Very close to Bourbon St an easy walk safe.
We stayed a week, Friday and Saturday, the walls became paper thin. The other guests were all hearing impaired, as they were all yelling all night long, and the kids were running up and down the halls at 5:30 in the morning. In talking to other guests, we found that some of the rooms don't have windows? I think that's something to think about, we had a window and I always thought that Hotel rooms just came with them, but now I know ask for one.
