“Great value, location”

You can't beat Prytania Park for the price. It's a little older but has been kept in pretty good condition. A word of warning, if your room has a loft that means there is a very narrow, steep staircase leading to the bed. It wasn't a problem for us but it's something to keep in mind if you have an elderly or disabled person traveling with you. The free parking and access to the Streetcar meant we didn't have to move the car once during our 2 night stay. We enjoyed the bagels and pastries served for breakfast in our room; the courtyard is too small for the number of guests but the hotel provides trays so it is easy to bring your breakfast back to your room. We would probably stay here again if we ever make it back down to New Orleans.

“Traveling musician approved!!”

Great New Orleans experience. Secure parking lot (HUGE for us as we were musicians on tour w/van full of gear), AC thankfully cold as could be (much needed in June), comfy, super-cute, nice neighborhood, block from the street car.... Loved it. Irish pub across the street was an extra bonus. :)

“Unique and affordable”

Very fun and unique hotel, gives a slight European vibe very appropriate to New Orleans. Loved the spiral staircase, though it's a daunting task to climb after a late night on Bourbon St. Convenient distance from the trolley (under construction at the moment, but buses are running instead), good part of town. Nothing too fancy, but affordable and nice.

“Great quaint New Orleans hotel”

Love the New Orleans look and feel with the baloncies and courtyard area (for breakfast and anytime). Great location just off the St. Charles street car line so easy access to French Quarter etc.. My daughter loves the loft for her bedroom.

“Undiscovered Gem”

This is a charming not too big hotel in a great location on the edge of the Garden District, within walking distance of the St Charles streetcar and restaurants/bars and shops on that street and Magazine Street; despite its proximity to nightlife it was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable, giving us three great nights of sleep. If there was any downside it was that the toilet/shower room was a bit tight, and neither my wife nor I are large persons. And there was free parking, free wifi, and free coffee, danish and cereal in the morning.

“An easy access to the adventure of New Orleans!”

I can sum it up by telling you that we booked our next stay the very day we checked out.

“I wouldn't change a thing.”

I loved this place. Much more character than the 'chains' and a better rate too. The locals who stopped by were amazed at the facility and the rates and said they will be putting guests here in the future. It was close enough for me to walk to the French Quarter and back, but it is a good walk. It's exactly in that close-enough and far-enough distance that makes for a great location. Lots of care and upkeep. I see maintenance/grounds keepers every morning. Being a historic property, there are no elevators, but if you can't take one flight of stairs with your baggage then you should have left the kitchen sink at home. The guests I have seen were all 35+ and respectful. No loud parties, no car horns, no throwing up in the common areas. You can even choose between good food and fast food, all within a couple blocks. The ONLY disappointment was that I did not realize the St. Charles Trolley is under construction. If you want the streetcar instead of city bus you should check the status.
