Nice budget hotel with great location

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Location, Comfort, Room.
Cons: Mini-bar
Location: Pretty much everthing in NO, LA.
We stayed here for 6 nights, and this was a great location to stay in for visiting New Orleans. The hotel is kept clean with good service leaving nothing to be desired except a mini-bar and a restaurant in the hotel. But we did not mind it much.

Decent location, but tiny rooms

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Staff was awesome. Location was great, walking distance from French quarter. Hotel is under construction so we had a small room. And by small I mean TINY. Mediocre furniture and decorations in the room. Over all the money east worth it but if you can get it for under $90 a night then it's good. Also parking fees suck. But there's a garage across the stree where you can park for $25 a day.

Very quiet and easy to sleep.

Located in an older building but very nice. I recommend parking in the bank garage across the street instead of using the valet. It's only $25 a day versus $32 tip.

Great location, but...

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: The staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: See above
I was in town for a convention and it's located within walking distance of the convention center and lots of nightlife and restaurants. Beyond that, this place needs a ton of work. They are doing a remodel set to be completed Fall 2014, and that's good. The room I had was badly worn out. The bed was terrible, the AC barely kept the room cool and never turned off, the drain in the tub drained so slow there was two inches of water by the end of my shower, the TV was the cutting edge in 1995, cobwebs and dead flies on the window sill, etc. etc. I wouldn't even think of going here again until after the remodel.

Convenient location with Clean rooms and a friendly staff, but definitely needs the planned renovations ! I'd stay again though. Great value.

Our stay here was very uncomfortable.

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: The old world charm of the decor
Cons: the honesty of the staff. the overall functionality and the size of the rooms.
Location: Besides the decor the location was the only other thing good about this hotel.
Our reservation called for a a queen bed and we were given a full. When this was pointed out to the staff member they said all beds in the hotel were queens. I hve a full at home I know what size it is. Our bathroom doorknob was broken aqnd never fixed, the bathroom sink was way to close to the wall and the door didn't open and close right. The room was claustrophobic for two adults. There was no door on the closet and there was not enough storage in general. We will never stay here again. A shame because the ambiance is quaint but not functional.

Will be better once renovations complete

Posted May 26, 2014
This hotel has changed ownership recently and is undergoing extensive renovations. I would not recommend this hotel to others based on the shape it is in currently - old, run down, plumbing doesn't work properly, rooms very small. But the location is good and staff were friendly and helpful and I'm hopeful that once extensive renovations are complete, that this will be a nice hotel that I would recommend to others.

Check this hotel out!

Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: The staff, charm and location
Cons: Old needs some remodeling - which they are doing! So, will be even better in just a few months
Location: Only a few blocks to Bourbon street and antique shops, and the museums in the other directions and trolley cars. Quieter than being on Canal st!
Great location. Quaint boutique style hotel. WONDERFUL staff and manager!! The hotel is old and is in need of a renovation - which they are now in the process of doing (5/11/14). Thus, it will be a great little hotel definitely worth checking out in a few months! Be sure to go to French Street (besides just Bourbon). And as the locals say, "Be nice or go home". Enjoy!
