“A decent place to stay on a budget”
Nothing fancy, but the staff were friendly. Had some trouble getting room service to come when room was occupied in the AM. The fitness center was horrible, so do not plan to work out if you stay here. The location was excellent--very close to Canal and Bourbon Streets
“Lukewarm/cold shower”
Good location, close to French Quarter, Walgreens and CVS and IHOP within walking distance. Shower isn't that great though- sometimes you get hot water for 5 min before it becomes lukewarm/cold.
“Better than other reviews indicate”
Other reviews on Expedia made me a little worried, but I couldn't pass up the price. If going to NO, I would stay at the RSC again. The room was clean, the hotel is smoke free, it is located within walking distance of all tourist locations, the neighborhood felt safe, I had hot water for a lengthy shower, wi-fi was a little slow, but adequate. If going to NO and would like a nice stay at a reasonable price, book the RSC.
“Great location, NOT great service”
This hotel is one block off of canal street and is easily accessible to all of the downtown attractions. It is also right on the St. Charles streetcar line which makes it very easy to get uptown to see all of the amazing houses of the garden district. The hotel itself is a small boutique hotel, but the rooms are very tiny. The furniture in the room was torn up and there was dirt all over the walls. I also didn't get one hot shower the 5 days I was there. I was able to book my room at a discounted price because I bundled my airfare and my hotel on expedia, but I would have been thoroughly disappointed if I had paid full price for my room. I will be looking for another place to stay next time I visit the city.
“Not impressed”
I would only recommend this for its location and price. I got a deluxe queen and the room was small and had no windows. The bed wasn't too comfortable. I didn't like how I had to pay a mandatory fee for $8.95 per day for amenities like internet, gym, and phone services which I did not need. But it's very convenient. It's walking distance to a lot of places in French Quarter.
“See you next year!”
New Orleans was great. The hotel was clean and stuff was very helpful. The rooms were a little some but clean.
“Great Location”
The only complaints are that the bed was really soft and housekeeping never brought enough towels. The hotel was in the perfect location, within walking distance of the French Quarter, Riverwalk, Garden District, the Superdome, and the Arena.
“"Will definitely go back to this hotel"”
Overall this hotel is great value for the size of the rooms and location. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is also convenient to the French Quarter and the trolley car.
“Not a good hotel”
Got there said things came up had to change us to a smaller room and didn't let me know it was a smoker room. Room was very loud. Lights were like a gym, they Took forever to come on. Valet took 30 minutes to get my truck. By far the worst hotel I have stayed at in new orleans
“Great property and great location”
This hotel was the perfect place for our needs. Great rates, and the staff couldn't be nicer. Room was perfect. Would have liked the coffee shop to open a little earlier, but overall, great stay.
