Absolutely loved this place! Was interesting and corky checking into a local bar (and having cocktails). The room was absolutely stunning. The architecture, the decor, the balcony. The employees were lovely as well.

GREAT space and we will return
Our stay at R Street Inn was AMAZING! The staff was welcoming upon arrival and did a wonderful job of assisting us even when our room wasn’t ready by giving us a great recommendation for a local restaurant and allowing us to store our bags. Upon return they were so helpful with bags up to our room. The room has a Sonos sound system in the bathroom AND the main space, cool red lighting and a great coffee maker. Will DEFINITELY stay here again.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at R Bar. The staff went over and above to make our trip memorable. The room itself was perfect. We look forward to our next time in New Orleans, will definitely be staying here.

Unprofessional Owner!
Our stay was great except for one incident. We had the top room and couldn’t hear any sounds from the bar below. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, and accommodating, and the room was clean and very romantic. Extremely cool place to stay! The only issue is when we were awoken one morning by someone blaring loud music from the room below us. After knocking on the floor didn’t work, I followed the racket downstairs and knocked on the door to ask the man to please keep the noise down. The guy ultimately complied but had the huevos, HUEVOS I tell you, to school me in the fact that I should’ve knocked on the door first instead of the floor (which he had heard but ignored) because it’s better for the old building. Well, it turned out that he was one of the hotel OWNERS staying in the room below us! Can you believe it? So, I’d still recommend staying here, but be on the lookout for an inconsiderate little man, who looks like George Liquor (Google it), who would rather park his kid in front of a blaring TV, waking up paying guests on a Sunday morning, in New Orleans of all places, rather than actually interacting with the kid quietly like any decent human being would. Staggeringly unprofessional!

What an incredible stay in La Sirena! This suite was freaking gorgeous!!! So romantic and a phenomenal location! The staff was super nice and accommodating with our early check-in bag drop off. We will 1,000% be coming back!

I loved the property from first sight! If you are looking for a hotel expereince you won't find it here. But you'll find property owners who are on site, incredibly friendly and helpful, and the best neighborhood in New Orleans! The area is very safe, one block from Frenchmen so close to the action but quiet enough for sleep. I've been to NOLA at least once a year for 20 years and this is my go-to place from now on.

The bar and inn were a good experience. Enjoyed the room. The streets getting there were under road repair, a mess. Parking was a issue for us. Overall if you are a party person and want to stay where the new music scene is, this is the area to be. Adam and the staff were very helpful.

Gem of a hotel
Fun getaway- the hotel was awesome. It so different from traditional hotels. You will have to give this hotel a try and you will not regret your decision.

Grand stay at the R Bar
The location was great for walking to all of our locations. Room decor was fantastic, well chosen and fitting. Manager was extremely responsive, polite and good humored. He worked hard to make our stay convenient.

The room was amazing! It was just so cool. The only thing I didn't like about the property was that the room on the ground floor was not the best as far as keeping the noise out. We could hear everything happening out on the street as if the door was open.

The location is great. The room was comfortable and clean. Adam, the GM, was great. The noise in Marigny is very loud. Next time I’m getting a room on the upper level. I would suggest really good ear plugs and a box fan to drown out the noise.

It was a funky place, cool vibe for sure. A great place for a partying atmosphere. I was there for work and would have preferred a quieter place. My wifi wasn't working and when I called to have it looked at, I got a voicemail. In all fairness it was 11pm so I wasn't sure what to expect BUT the manager called me back in a reasonable amount of time and got me working. If you are visiting the French Quarter and want a guaranteed good time, this is the right place and the price is awesome. The people are friendly and accommodating. Instead of a mint on my pillow, I found 2 free drink tokens for the bar which was pretty cool. I just happened to be there for work so I couldn't party and would have preferred a quieter place.

La Sirena suite was excellent. Great location and vibe. Hip bar located on site. A bit noisy at night but to be expected and the place provided earplugs, which solved any noise issue.

New Orleans gem
Lucky find. Great location on Royal street. We booked the Storyvillle suite, which picks up on the historical elements from New Orleans. Good sized room with open plan bedroom and living room space. Bathroom with shower ensuite. Comfy bed and air conditioning to make sure the hot nights are made all the more pleasant. Fridge and coffee making facilities, and a selection of toiletries and fresh clean towels each day, you also have access to the shared balcony and we might have made more use of it if we hadn’t spent so much time exploring everytwhere else. Staff couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable. Very friendly and the atmosphere in the downstairs bar and this location is amazing. Locals very friendly and plenty of places to see within a five minute walk including Frenchmen’s Street and Bourbon Street. The room comes with earplugs, but we didn’t find the lively music and bar noise a problem. Overall a great find.

A Hidden Treasure!!
We loved the Inn....it is so "New Orleans" and the rooms are great. The Inn just added to the New Orleans experience. I have already recommended it to some friends who are going there. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to NO. Love the fact that it is so close to everything.

Outstanding!
The people were great, and we loved the room! Not a place for children, (nudity in artwork, rooms are above a bar room and such...) but if you are stay for a night or 2 and like a fun atmosphere, you have an awedome choice in The Royal Inn. We will be looking for vancancies here again in the future!

Quirky but cool!
Great place with nice creature comforts. Sonos music and Roku TV were unexpected bonuses. Nicely decorated with large bath. Great neighborhood bar downstairs and no noise heard on 3rd floor at all. It's a walk up so pack light and tall people will have issues with the ceiling in both bedroom and bath as the ceilings angle downward on both sides. Toilet was a downright challenge to stand at. A little pricey but great area and close to Frenchman.

Cozy place with great atmosphere ..
Stayed in Storyville suite on 2nd floor .. Loved the room and the large balcony. The stairs are very steep and narrow .. Choose the 1st floor suite if you don't want a climb. A/C was cold and created some good white noise for sleeping .. It is very loud at night in the French Quarter so keep that in mind. The staff and amenities are awesome .. And plenty of excellent dining options within walking distance Would definitely stay again ..

The hotel is fine if you do not need traditional amenities like a concierge desk or room service. The hotel was clean and the room was set up really nicely. The one thing I wish the room had was a microwave and maybe some water (complementary or for purchase) in the mini fridge.

A Real Slice of New Orleans
The bar is charming and the rooms are fantastic--clean, comfortable, very well decorated. The rooms are above the bar so noise can be an issue (I would not recommend bringing children to this hotel). The location is perfect for those who want to hit the French Quarter, Marigny, or Baywater but be just outside the chaos of the French Quarter.

Amazing. I recently stayed at the Royal Street Inn, Royal Suite. It was absolutely perfect. First, the photos are beautiful but don't even do it justice. It is furnished perfectly for the building and local style. The manager was awesome and very accommodating. He introduced us to the suite with WWOZ playing on the stereo--a nice touch. He had even prepared some things-to-do in town customized for our travel dates. I didn't realize that the room had walk-out windows onto a private balcony overlooking Royal Street. Such a bonus! Very comfortable for coffee in the morning or people-watching through the day and into the night. Some reviews have mentioned noise, but that's part of the neighborhood and the charm in my opinion. You don't pick a place like this if you want a chain hotel experience. I couldn't recommend the place more.

Old world charm and great location
Great atmosphere and the bar downstairs is a local favorite, so it's not just a tourist spot. Room was very comfortable but with old-school charm. Nice common balcony for relaxing and having a beer. Staff were very attentive for an early check-in. I just called the property and the housekeeper let me in and gave me the key. Just one downside. On Saturday and Sunday, there was no housekeeping service. Trash started piling up in the little trash can from having guests over to enjoy the balcony. I was out on the street by noon each day, so the housekeeping could have been done in the afternoon.I will still go back, though.

Great Room but Hard to Sleep at Night- Too noisy!!
Great, spacious, clean room on ground level but beware, the bar next door makes it hard to sleep at night. Very loud- and while we were told the "door people" at the bar try to keep bar patrons away from the hotel room door, it obviously failed. Had people sitting on our stoop well after midnight talking and carrying on. Not a place for families for sure. Owner was very nice. Told upon arrival that it's loud and there were ear plugs next to bed. Costly room for type of sleep you'll get especially on the weekends. Great place of college kids not minding the noise at night.
