Nice room, horrible parking!!!!!

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Cons: PARKING
as a family, we reserved a couple of rooms well in advance of our stay but they still had us in separate parts of the hotel and on separate floors. After much discussion they changed one of our rooms from two queens to a king size bed and got us on the same floor although we were still quite a distance from the rest of our family. Parking was horrid! They only had 75 parking spots in the garage on site so most of their guests have to park in a lot three blocks away from the hotel and walk back to their room. The rooms were fairly nice but small. Overall I would not recommend this hotel. Ive stayed in much nicer places for a lot less money and a lot less hassle!

Dear family, I first want to thank you for sharing your comments with us. It It is always our goal to have our guest have a flawless trip. We do block all rooms that have request but as you know we cannot gauarantee such things like room location. This all depends on the bed typere reservered and the departing guest so you see location isof rooms cannot be guaranteed . We acknowledge that parking can be a challenge and we are working on a valet salution for the weekends so that we can offer this option on theweekend whn our lot fills quite quickly. Again, thank you for sharing and know that we are working on the solution to make parking more friendly.

This hotel is a two short block walk from the convention center. VERY CONVENIENT. While I was at a convention, I was able to quickly walk between the hotel and the convention center whenever I needed. My room had one king bed, a couch and a large desk. It had a huge TV that swiveled any way I wanted. I was very happy with the room.

Rude and incompetent

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Checked in at 4:00 and our room wasn't ready. Asked about best way to get to the zoo they sent us to the street car that was a huge mess. The hotel is 5 blocks from st. Charles st. When I called before booking they said it was only 3 blocks. Then once on the extremely crowded street car we rode for only a few blocks then had to get off and wait for a very crowded bus only to get off again and get back on a crowded street car. It took over 2 1/2 hours to get to the zoo. We has our vehicles and told them we could drive but they still insisted that we take the street car for the experience. We were traveling with 2 families with small children. Breakfast was nothing special. Only change from day to day was the meat, turkey sausage, pork sausage, then turkey Canadian bacon. Line for a waffle took over 30 minutes. Staff was rude. Closed up at 9:00 promptly. Asked for towels the second night because we chose not to have our room cleaned everyday. Never received towels. Room was small the sofa bed was uncomfortable and nasty. Elevator didn't always work. Asked for a late check out because we had a tour and they would only give us 30 minutes and they would not give the other family traveling with us a late check out. Then when we came back early from our tour we were locked out of our room. Huge pain and they were soooo rude!

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. I am incredibly sorry that you had a bad experience with us. I will make sure that the Front Desk staff is informed about the construction going on with the streetcar so that no one else is given directions to take that route. I will also make sure we go over the proper way to speak to a guest with all of the associates so that we make sure every guest is being treated with respect. Again, thank you for giving us feedback, and I assure you that we will address your concerns.

Good quiet location. Close but not too close.

Enjoyed staying here. The associates are awesome people who love and enjoy their city. Close enough to restaurants to walk to. Close to the river walk Mall too. Parking was safe and secure.

Drove our personal vehicle, forced to pay $30 per night for valet parking, the car was returned with the front bumper damaged. Staff argued that it was "old" damage and they didn't do it. We know for a fact it wasn't there before because we had valet parking in the previous nights hotel and checked the car over before driving away.

Nice hotel near convention center

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Breakfast included, washers/dryers on each floor, location to convention center.
Cons: Safes in room
Location: Convention center, outlet mall, aquarium, casino, and lots of restaurants
We we in town for a convention and the hotel was close by. Breakfast area was nice and it was a nice way to start the day. Riverwalk outlet mall and street car station was right next to the convention center. Made getting around easier. The rooms were nice but I wished the frig had a freezer part and I wish the rooms had safes, but other then that, we had no problems with the room. Would definetly stay again.

Bachelorette Weekend

Posted Jun 17, 2014
A group of 11 were here for a Bachelorette weekend, the hotel was perfect for our needs, nice pool access free morning breakfast, clean comfy beds. It is a little off the beaten path if you want to be on Bourbon Street every night, but for the price we walked the 8-10 blocks. Friendly hotel staff.

Nice, noisy nights

Posted Jun 15, 2014
If you are going to party all might you won't care. But the noise is loud from the street. The motel is quite nice. The city bus stops closer than the trolley.
