Good for Pass through trip

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The continental breakfast was OK
Cons: New Pillows
Location: Downtown and French Quarters about 15 minute drive
The rooms are musty but clean, area is not great and roads under construction and not easy to access I-10 West. This is an overnight travelers room, not valid for more than one night.

Nice place for stay in New Orleans

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, affordable price.
Cons: A bit more variety for breakfast.
We picked this location based upon prior experience with Super 8 hotels and it's convenience when viewed on the map. When we arrived we found that due to ongoing work on the ramps from Hwy 10 there were a few extra turns and U-turns necessary to get to the hotel. When we arrived we had some concern with a fairly large building next door that was in construction but not actively being worked on. Taking into consideration all the hardships that this area has endured since Katrina we did not worry further about it. The property is in what you would call 'East New Orleans' and is near the port facility on the Industrial Canal. This is not a problem and did not cause any disturbing noises - just be away that this is an industrial area. It's not a plush, upscale area, but neither is the price. When we got to the desk we were greeted by Angela who was a bright, smiling face that we came to love during our stay. She clearly and concisely explained the hotel layout, parking and the continental breakfast options for each morning. We asked her about various attractions and parking options in the area and she gave us good information. This is an older property but it has been well maintained and doesn't have any issues. While there is secure parking available behind the building we usually parked in front and had no problems. As this trip was on the 'bucket list' we will probably not be visiting again - but if we do, we'll consider the Super 8 again! (Love Angela)

Hotel is old. And area is a little sketchy but safety wasn't an issue. Relatively easy to find. But it was cheap, clean and beds were relatively comfortable for the one night we were there. Staff was great.

Just to sleep!

Cons: Keeping attention in the bottle of shampoo. If half, just put on garbage.
I was looking for a place safe, cheaper and clean to rest after studying all the day. Then, I spent two nights in Super 8 New Orleans. The hotel was cleaning, safe, staff friendly and I reached my goal, sleeping good and in silence. The breakfast was included... had waffle, season's fruit, bread, coffee, milk, juice, cornflakes... amenities... shampoo and soap. Coffeemaker in the bathroom with stuff needed. it's located in easy way to downtown New Orleans, Business District... I recommended this hotel! Of course, if you are looking for luxury, you need pay much more.

Parking was under a roof in a fenced area.

Pros: Not far from French Quarters
Cons: Everything was good
Location: We went there mainly to see the French Quarter area, mainly Bourbon St. ,spent most of the day in that area.
Motel is in a area of some deserted buildings, but motel itself was fenced and secure.

The breakfast was weak. Didn't want to put out any yogurt for the two days that I stayed there .just one ice machine for three floors? Internet not working? Otherwise not all that bad.
