Wonderful Respite from Mardi Gras MadnessPosted Feb 24, 2015
I arrived at the Ritz on Mardi Gras day. There was absolute madness in the streets of New Orleans. The Ritz was a true oasis. Lively, but not over the top. Friendly and fun staff, interesting fellow guests, and impeccable service. I had an incredible time. As a woman traveling alone I felt very safe in this location. Had a wonderful stay.

Wonderful hotel close to sites & Mardi GrasPosted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: As already stated, the hotel was great.
Location: As stated, we were able to visit sites/stores/resturats via walking, trolley, and friendly cab services
Food was delicious. Carnivals and Mardi Gras were very interesting and exciting. People were so friendly. New Orleans is certainly rich in history.

private space on periphery of French QuarterPosted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: the scent. the friendliness of staff especially the MBistro bartenders. Hotel is decorated well. Common spaces look expensive.
Cons: need a more private way to access fitness center. had to walk thru two lobbies to get to gym.
Location: On Canal. was able to walk to nearby restaurants. Walked twice to Jackson Square and cafe du monde- about 10 to 15 minute walk.
Walked to Zulu parade on Canal. walked a bit further to see Rex parade.

Very nice hotel and very close to the action!Posted Feb 17, 2015
What really stuck out to me about this hotel is the staff they are amazing and extremely helpful! Two incidents that happened, tolet flooded twice and the water was out in the whole hotel.... Staff was up in our room quickly to fix the tolet and water was back on within 15 min and we received a complementary breakfast for all the people in our room value of $140 and the breakfast was amazing! I went during Mardi Gras with all the crazy people outside but I always felt very safe at our hotel because you always had to show your key card to get in and up the elevator! This hotel was a little pricey but worth the money especially during Mardi Gras! Will stay again!!

The Ritz CarltonPosted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: Valet was great, as was each staff member that attended to our luggage, our arrival, and our departure.
Location: We were able to view a Mardi Gras parade right outside the front door and then stroll around the corner and enjoy Bourbon Street.
We chose to stay at The Ritz Carlton in New Orleans prior to departing for our cruise to Cozumel. It is a beautiful hotel with a great staff and great location. We enjoyed dining in The Bistro and then went out to view a Mardi Gras parade and stroll down Bourbon Street. Excellent visit to NOLA!

Staff was amazing. However, the room was underwhelming. Bathtub old and dingy especially for a 5 star hotel. I still had a very pleasant experience but did expect a bit more out of the room.

An oasis in the middle of the French QuarterPosted Jan 19, 2015
Hotel staff was fantastic. Many amazing New Orleans sights to see are walking distance or a short cab ride away. We were able to walk to the Cathedral of St. Louis and Bourbon street. The spa is absolutely wonderful as well. The hotel is incredibly quiet and you get a real sense of privacy. The 1700's French decor is great.

Club Level is the best kept secret in the Quarter. Great food all day and night. Free beer wine and mix drinks. Make sure you ask for Club Level instead of a suite.
