Unbelievable hotel!Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Goodness-everything. What's not to like?
Cons: On my last night, there was some strange banging noise coming from the AC unit? I did not complain as I was set to check out in a few hours.
Location: Convenient drug store, and several restaurants nearby. Cab ride to everything I needed was less than five dollars. Cajun Mike's next door was great.
I felt like a princess from another era. The photos they show, which are beautiful, don't come close to doing it justice. The white robes that you could wear to the rooftop pool were just the icing on the cake. It hurt to leave.

Not what I would classify as a WaldorftPosted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Bell hops, area, pool
Cons: Elevators, Fountain Bar Hostess
Location: GW Fins for dinner
Hotel staff was great. Obvious renovations but not enough to claim the Waldorf name IMO.

Close to the Quarter without all the noisePosted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, service was professional
Location: The hotel is right off of Canal street which makes it convenient to the French Quarter. We also walked to the St. Charles streetcar.
My husband and I stayed at the Roosevelt the weekend of June 26-29. We loved the location of the hotel as it was very close to the french quarter and the streetcar routes. The hotel has an old world charm and elegance without being stuffy. Stayed in a king suite. Although there was no view, the room was comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed having a Gin Fizz in the Sazarac bar one quiet afternoon and we thought the pizza at Domenica was very tasty!
