Convenient but that's about it
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: Convenient
Cons: Clean it up and update it. Soiled carpets and furniture. Elevators and a/c broken.
Air conditioning broken upon arrival. Hot hot hot till next day. Hotel was full and two elevators (out of four) were broken, meaning long waits in hot building for ability to do anything. Hotel in need of repair as carpets and furniture throughout rooms were dirty and well stained. Bathrooms need updating. Bathroom hardware loose and partially functional. Disappointing to say the least.

Westin again and again
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: The view of the Mississippi and the location
Cons: even though the tv was 25 in, it appears so small for the room
Location: everything, i mean everything is close by: restaurants, casino, Riverfront Park, gift shops, etc
simply put. Westin New Orleans is the best hotel i've ever seen. My wife and I couldn't stop talking about it. The view of the Mississippi Flowage and the French Quarter was breathtaking. The staff was helpful and courteous. The room was magnificient. The lobby was beautiful and clean. I will go back to New Orleans again and again and the Westin will be my choice.

Fun weekend away for two
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: Gorgeous views!
Location: Just a few blocks from Bourbon and perfect for anyone who wants to tour the city on foot.
The hotel features high quality shops on the lower levels. The lobby is on the 11th, and the elevators to that floor allow you to look over the city. The parking was under $20 for a day which is perfect because the whole french quarter is in walking distance. The rooftop pool is cozy and has a lovely view though it's not open late. We spent most of our time on foot in the french quarter, but when we trekked back to the room, it was cozy and relaxing. Everything is clean and and aesthetically pleasing. The shower was delightful with two shower heads, and I actually adored the light, tea scented soap.

Would stay again!

The location is perfect. 10-15 min walk to all the main tourist spots. Right across the street if you want to gamble at Harrahs. Also festival grounds are closeby. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room size was nice too. This hotel has lots to offer like movie theaters and shops at the lower level. Took points away because we had trouble with our safe and room key and the staff was a bit slow to respond. Other than that, great stay!

Best view of the City and Mississippi River.

Pros: View of the City and River
Cons: Nothing
Location: Walking distance to French Quarter, Streetcar line, Convention Center, Dinning,Shopping
I'm a native of New Orleans, however never stayed at the Westin, hotel is awsome! Walking distance to the French Quarter, Streetcar line, Convension Center, Riverwalk, Dinning and Shopping. Rooms were beautiful, with nice linen, bathrooms extremely clean, service excellent. This hotel has the best view of City and the Mississippi River, I would highly recommend this hotel over any other in the Quarter you can not go wrong with this selection. Enjoy!!!
