The college kids kept the place loud. They took the hotel over. The rooms were clean and a nice size. The room service double charged you for service $15-20

Pros: The Doorman was the most pleasant person, always a smile and very polite. He needs a raise. The breakfast buffet was very good.
Cons: You need to stop being so cheap, spend money to improve the shabby rooms and service. Hallways are very warm. The pool was too warm to use.
Location: French Quarter speaks for itself.
We stayed at the hotel on Royal St in the French Quarter . After check-in we were sent to a room with 1 queen size bed, no space for our grandson. After talking with the front desk I was told they had another room and they would not charge us for the cot !! Hotel was very run down. Our room was not cleaned, they never used vacuum and never cleaned the tables or the desk .We had a very hard time trying to get plastic cups for room. Grandson slept on a cot, it was very uncomfortable-they had no sheets so they used a king or queen sheet which came undone the first time he even sat on the bed. He had the sit on the bed because there were only 2 chairs . One day we had no washcloths, then only 2 cups for 3 people, they are plastic glasses, not crystal for heavens sake!!! We will never again use this hotel its just not worth the money . At check out we were not given an itemized bill, because we booked through Expedia.

Would come back to stay at hotel. Staff were friendly and I really appreciated staff keeping non guest from entering hotel, that made a huge difference on myself and family choosing to come back

This is nor my favorite hotel in NOLA. Clean, comfortable, close to the action. No ambiance. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hallways are a bit dank. Rooms are clean and functional.

Nice hotel but old and staff wasn't very friendly

Posted Apr 7, 2015
I loved the location of the hotel. It was close to everything and we never had to pull our car out of valet until we left. The elevators are the slowest of anywhere I have ever stayed. There are three of them and one was broke down most of the stay, but even when it was working it would take 5 or more minutes every time to catch the elevator to go downstairs. The woman working the front desk were rude as well and there was always a line out the door to be able to ask a question. Most times if you called down to the front desk they would not pick up the phone.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, friendliness, price!!!
Cons: The Wifi was not available/difficult to connect. I travelled with guests from Germany, and they missed their connections to family at home.
Location: Bourbon St.... Old Saint Restaurant... Riverwalk...
Clean, modern, friendly, very helpful staff. The hotel received us well on our late arrival, provided every possible help, and was only one block from the infamous Bourbon St. The elevator above floor 17 was funny, but a nice quirk to an old building. Every staff member was cheerful and professional, even at the wee early hours of the morning!
