“Good hotel”
Very nice older style hotel. Room very clean. Only problem was dead bolt for door had an outside key entry that allowed acess to room while you are in it. Need to install inside latch on door..
“Anniversary”
We spent three nights here. Because it dtaes back to the 1840's, rooms were small and the stairs long. All other things were great. Arriving just before the dining room closed at 9 PM, the owners, Mr. and Mrs Robinson, arrange to have the kitchen remain open so we could have some dinner. The next day, Mr. Robinson recommended a local place for breakfast. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel dinning room, both of which were delicious and reasonably priced. On Friday, Mrs. Robinson helped me surprise my wife with roses for our anniversary. The owners were gracious hosts and the staff was always pleasant and helpful. The hotel is beautifully appointed with antique furnitture, historical pictures and many other warm touches. I highly recommend this hotel for a quiet and quaint getaway in Amish country.
“Old, quaint, clean, comfortable”
We visited this hotel because it was the location of a social function that included a meal. The meal was a failure, but everything else was charming. So if Millersburg Ohio is a stopover on your itinerary, by all means stay at the hotel--but find somewhere else to eat (we liked the Amish restaurant in nearby Berlin).
“Couldn't sleep”
Hotel was what you would expect from an old inn. I do not recomend you stay here if you need to rest, but if you must, request a room away from the front. The street noise is unbearable and the windows are awful. It sits right on a state route (semi trucks) and at an intersection. After the tavern down stairs closes, you hear everything from car horns to motorcycles starting up to wake you. PS The walls are paper thin too. We heard everything the neighbors said and later listened to their snoring.
“Small Hotel, Small Town”
The room was small, but we figured that due to the age of the hotel, it was a common size room. The fixtures in the room were modern, the decor of the era. It is located in the downtown area. The main drawback is that there is no parking area. The vehicles remain on a main street overnight, and moving luggage across a busy highway was a little problem. They had a nice restaurant, and the price was very good.
“Great experience”
I like the history behind the Hotel. The picture on the walls were quite intereting to look at. I enjoy older building that have stories behind them. The people working at the hotel were very nice.
“VERY IMPRESSED WITH HOTEL. REMINDS ONE OF OLD TIME HOTEL LUXURY !”
WOULD DEFINATELY STAY THEIR AGAIN AND RECOMMEND IT TO FRIENDS.
“Beautiful and charming hotel”
This hotel was unique in it's decor with many old pictures and quilts hanging on the walls and lovely banquet rooms for small gatherings. The accomodations were nice, however I found the bed very uncomfortable. It was to soft for my back and therefore I did not sleep well at all. My sister did not have a problem with the comfort of her bed. I would stay there again, but request a firmer bed. Nice owners and very accomodating.
“Can't find any place else”
I would recommend if you can't find another place. The only fall back was that I booked a queen bed with my company and the hotel gave me a full bed because it is first come first serve and I was not told that till we got there.
