nice hotel, great locationPosted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: The location.
Location: skytrain, store, shops, subway, met bar and grill.
Stayed here numerous times. Its a great hotel right beside the Columbia skytrain station. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nice if you have earplugsPosted Nov 17, 2014
From the third floor we could hear the bar downstairs, it's television blasting into the night. On top of that we had a lovely view of the skytrain and could hear it until 2 AM. The staff were great, the room was great, I recommend bringing earplugs.

Too hot for comfortPosted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: Good location and room rate.
Cons: Maintenance required on air conditioners, room temperature controls.
Location: In heart of New Westminster and near Quay and shopping, restaurants, site seeing.
Hotel room was too hot for some reason. Air conditioning units were not working at optimum level. Fan overhead was shaky and needed maintenance. Location was good...staff were pleasant....room conditions were satisfactory.

Perfect place for our stay.Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: It's near everything. It's clean.
Cons: The parking is across the street and had to pay thru the desk its near the pa
Location: The location is quiet.
It's near the sky train station, near the Queens park of new Westminster. Near the Frazier river board walk.. The grocery is nearby. There's a lot of eating places around it. I would go back there. For the train make sure you get the all day pass...

Bad customer servicePosted Oct 20, 2014
Location: The location is sketchy and our friends car who was parked in their lot was stolen.
The front door man was very rude and non-accomodating. We had an extra person in our party and he would not allow them to stay even though we would have paid the extra person fee. Also our friends car was stolen in the parking lot across the street that you can pay for through the hotel booking. Very unfortunate. We will never come back.

Nice staff, location is a negative..Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Nice staff.
Our room was at the back, sky train right there, noisy, pub downstairs and outside patio had noise in the late night on a weekend.

Hidden gem!Posted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: The quiet!
Cons: Shower head was really low.
I had an appointment before I could check in, so I dropped off my luggage. Staff was very accommodating. Luggage was in my room when I checked in. On check out, I left luggage with the front desk until my ride arrived. Different staff members, but both were very helpful.

Weekend in New WestminsterPosted Oct 6, 2014
I'm not into paying for frills, but I need the basics to be well done, and primary basic is CLEAN. Our room at The Met was very clean, tastefully appointed, and comfortable. If you're a light sleeper the transit station could be a problem, but the "WHOOSH"ing of the electric trains was not a problem for us at all. Our bed was very firm but comfortable. The bathroom was shiny white and very clean. The towels were big, fluffy and soft. Full cable TV menu was a plus. Free Wi-Fi was a plus. Single serve coffee maker was nice. We were able to plug in (2) phone chargers, (1) camera battery charger, (1) tablet, and the iron all at the same time easily. And having the sports bar and grill right there was a double plus. My only disparaging thoughts are focused on the low water pressure (hotel typical) and lack of on-site free parking, although on street parking and across-the-street parking lot were both very affordable. For the price paid, this is a great place to stay in downtown New Westminster.

Good for one or two nights.Posted Sep 22, 2014
Area is not terrible but not great either. We parked on street and there were needles on the ground. Lots of homelessness and undesirable people around.
