Nice hotel with friendly staff in quiet and convenient neighborhood. Room was clean and comfortable - not generous size but of adequate size. Would stay here again.

Not much bad to say!

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Stayed on a Friday night after getting a good deal thru expedia. Very clean, attentive staff, and free wine hour didn't hurt. Had a queen bed which had a view of the Empire State Building which was a plus. Only bad thing I have to say is that the ac unit in room is manually set by staff and cannot be adjusted. We had to ask the front desk to make it cooler. Would def stay again.

Beautiful place, great location. Staff was marginally less than attentive at certain moments. Not a deal breaker, just more of a "huh?" Type pause on my part. Would stay again without hesitation.

Pros: good location, good orange juice
Cons: Professionalism of staff
Location: Park Avenue, Grand Central Station
Only one night, but after Europe hotels, a disappointment.

Pros: The staff. The rooms were spacious and the comfy pillows and mattress made each nights sleep easy!
Cons: The grab and go offerings could be more reasonably priced.
Location: Park avenue and 38th which is less populated by tourists and quiter at night. Shopping is close and it's not too far from grand central
Loved this hotel from the minute our taxi dropped us off. The front of the building was pretty and the doorman was right there to help with bags and a hand out of the car. Our awesome concierge assistant Chris made our stay exemplary! He knew us by name each day, arranged for our room extras and managed to point us in the right direction for dinner the first night. The entire staff really made us feel like we were staying in out home away from home. We were here for 4 days on business. Taxi, no problem. Extra hangers? You got it! Fresh brewed coffee at 3am? Of course. Best place ever! The evening drinks hour was so much fun! The reception area had fresh iced lemon water each day, fancy sparkling drinks and light snacks. The lounge area was fun and has some great games to play in a relaxed living room setting. The bar was nice, the attendants were super helpful with local advice and just fun to chat with. The only down side: the attached grab and go business was super expensive. A bottle of water and a cup of fruit for the bargain price of $10.00. Ouch. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere with pleasant company for entertainment in a less tourist polluted area of the city.

Nice Hotel

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The clean room, the location and the staff.
Cons: The rugs in the elevator were dirty, we guess because of the renovations being done.
Location: The Kimpton Hotel is on 38th and Park Ave., which is close to theatres, shopping, restaurants and museums.
Our stay was very pleasant. The staff was very helpful, they arranged for my husband and me to have a quiet room on the 16th floor, overlooking Park Avenue. This was important since we didn't want to be near the construction, which was on the side of the building. The complimentary coffee, iced water and evening wine, was fun.

Quiet area within walking distanceto Grand Central

Hotel lobby and lounge was nice. Flavored water available as well as the evening wine reception. Nice area to mingle or wait to check in. Check in was slow due to technical difficulties, however the staff was friendly and accommodating. Melonie checked us in, and gave us drink tickets for the wait. The bar was nice and the cocktails were unique. Bartender was also nice and chatted with us as we explored the drink menu. Would reccomended for great service and basic accommodations. Thank you!
