It was an ok hotel

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Wine reception
Cons: Fix the water damage in the bathrooms (mold, peeling paint). Clean a little better.
Location: Walking distance to Times Square theaters.
We wanted to be near Times Square since we were seeing a couple of shows on Broadway. 70 Park was in a good location. Lobby was nice, wine reception was appreciated. Room was not fabulously clean (trash had fallen behind the bedside table from previous guests, there was hair in the bath tub from a previous use). Mold and peeling paint where on the bathroom ceiling from water damage. Generally we really like Kimpton properties, but probably wouldn't stay there again.

Pros: Lobby and rooms were like new, very clean.
Our room wasn't ready for us when we arrived to check in, so we had to wait for a least a 1/2 hour, but they gave our family breakfast coupons, so we were pleased with that. The continental breakfast was good, many choices. Worked out great for our family.

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Great Location & Staff
Cons: Update hotel and furnishings, but then it will cost more!!!
Location: 42nd and Park, what else can you say?
Super location and staff. The hotel rooms/furnishings are little tired.

Great location for city visit and shopping

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Central location to shops, dinning and theaters
Cons: More room space
Location: Shops
Room was clean but very small especially for a couple. The bathroom though clean was also small and tight with very little move around space. Still a great location for city visits and safe for late night dinning and strolling.

Nice hotel in nyc near grand central

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Good hotel. Very comfortable .Staff always helpful. Elevators were broken down at checkout time. I know it wasn't hotels fault but took forever to get to lobby. Bathrooms are quite small but very clean. Beds extremely comfortable.

Nice hotel close to theatres and shopping

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Proximity to theatres and attractions
Cons: Better layout of rooms
Location: Theatres, tourist attractions and shopping
Good hotel but slightly over priced for what it offered. Cleaning could have been more thorough. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Overrated & Overpriced

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Very little.
Cons: See above.
This outdated hotel needs a complete makeover. The hallways and elevators are filthy and in disrepair. We had to be moved several times due to noise (loud parties) in nearby rooms…each room we were placed in had holes in the walls. Air conditioning seemed only to work intermittently. I could go on. Service was mediocre. I can find few things by which to recommend this dated, dirty, hot and noisy hotel.

Great 5 night stay in NYC

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: free bikes to rent, free wine hour between 5 and 6pm, they pour you as much as you want, free coffee in the morning.
Location: Grand Central is 2 blocks away, great location to get anywhere in NYC.
I've stayed at Kimpton hotels before, and this one, like all the rest, was amazing! My favorite hotel chain in the USA. The rooms actually look like what you see on the website!
