Nice modern hip hotel close to Rockefeller Center

Posted Sep 12, 2014
A great location off of Lexington Ave in Midtown, walking distance from Rockefeller Center, MOMA and 5th Ave shops. Clean comfortable rooms, bigger than I thought. Courteous, friendly and helpful staff, from the front desk to especially the doormen. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there my next trip to New York!

2 nights stay

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Location: location is very convenient, walking distance to the Grand Central Station, Empire State Building and the 5th Ave
the only thing that I was surprised about is the door for the bathroom is "hanging" on the wall(on a rail), so it leaves 2 gaps on both sides which cannot block any sound --for couples it might be ok, but not with friends....

Wonderful new hotel

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Location, helpful staf
Cons: Replace barn doors on hotel room washrooms with conventional (for more privacy)
We stayed at Affinia 50 with two childeren (age 7 and 10) for four nights, and have nothing but best to say about the hotel. The staff are super friendly, the hotel is recently refurbished and everything looks new and the location is excellent for exploring NY.

Very Nice Hotel at a Great Location

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: We stayed in the 2 bedroom queen suite with fold out sofa sleeper- VERY BIG suite! Nice and spacious. even has a full mini kitchen!
Cons: Fold out sofa sleeper was not very comfortable- mattress thin and could feel the springs and bars in the bed.
Location: 8 blocks to Grand Central not even a 10 minute walk. Very close about 6 blocks to radio city music hall and all the shops on Broadway. Subway 1 block.
Checked in on a Thursday stayed until Sunday. We have two children so we needed 3 beds. Not many rooms in NYC that have 3 sleeping spaces. This had 2 gueens and a fold out sofa sleeper. Had its own mini kitchen and a large living room area with a comfy chair along with coffee table tv and stand and end table. Avg size bath room but had a GREAT dispenser holder with shampoo/conditioner and body wash! Also a watch in closet which we used to change in some times. Price was a little expensive but that's what you pay in NYC. We were hoping to check in before check in time at 3pm but I don't see that happening at this Hotel. We had been waiting since 1 pm. and got in about 3:20pm.They do have a nice lounge to wait in with free coffee/tea/water and wifi. Didn't want to pay for wifi in room so we would go to the lounge on the 2nd floor for the free wifi which was nice. Wine Night every night from 5-6pm was wonderful. Snacks and beverages for kids. Loved this Hotel and staff was very helpful and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location to Subway and business office.

Staff was very friendly, room location kept city noises outside, housekeeping kept all as requested as extra towels, coffee. Close to subway. Missed the wine hour due to work. Will be back anytime

Nice, but not worth the price

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful; the general hotel had a nice finish and quality.
Cons: Most of my issues aren't easily addressed, but the least the hotel could do is provide a free breakfast and lower the rates a bit.
Location: The hotel was located within walking distance of a number of interesting locations, as well as mass transit options.
I went in search of a hotel trying to pamper myself for a single night in NYC. What I got was mediocre. The rooms were clean, the staff very helpful, but the overall experience was in no way commensurate with the price. The view out the window was into a brick wall, made worse by the large scaffolding obscuring the window. The bedroom was nice, with a large, comfy bed. The bathroom, however, was rather small, with a cramped shower and a showerhead that only came up to my nose. Also, when spending this much on a room, you wouldn't expect to have to pay a rather unreasonable additional charge just for some cheap breakfast service (muffins and the like).

Excellent location in central NYC

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: They do a wine /cocktail hour for residents each night and staff chat to folks in an easy friendly manner. I would have to praise the General manager
Cons: The first room was not as clean as I would have liked and I don't think it had seen a vacuum behind the bed for a wee while.
Location: Park Avenue is a stone throw as is times square. Few block from Macys and great restaurants. Hotel next door has amazing rooftop bar its a must!
Stayed here for a week in July. Really great location but a tad noisy on the lower floors. Our 1st room was large with small bathroom and kitchenette. Our third night in was disturbed by a mishap late at night not anyone's fault. The staff were swift to deal with the issue and immediately moved us to an upgraded room on the 19th floor. If Id known the style of this floor I would have booked it. Well worth the money to be higher up and much more comfortable. I would have to praise the General manager and duty manager for handling our issue professionally. The door men where also lovely and full of useful information about where to go.
