Nice hotel in busy cityPosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: Good location but you really need to use the subway to get around all of Manhattan especially in the summer heat.
The Affinia gardens hotel is a great place to rest your weary head in the madness that is Manhattan. We had a large comfortable room, a junior suite which had a huge double bed and large sofa bed. Perfect for a mum and teenager. Helpful, pleasant staff. Free wifi in hotel lobby. We really enjoyed our stay. Our room on the third floor was really quiet apart from one evening when our next door neighbours were very loud and rowdy. The matter was speedily handled by the hotel security. It would have been nice if there had been a small hotel bar.

Friendly and EfficientPosted Jul 10, 2014
Stayed a week. Very friendly and efficient staff at front desk at all times. Room cleaning good. Decor a bit jumbled. Could have done the room better without spending more. King bed comfy, bathroom small but well-equipped.

Cons: Put in new carpet. One of the 2 beds squeaked.
There was an unpleasant odor upon entering our room. The carpets were well worn and stained and one of the beds squeaked. It was very nice to have a kitchen and the size of the room was quite large. The hotel staff was very pleasant and extremely accommodating.

Great hotel close to everything.Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: It was a pretty hotel in the upper eastside with friendly helpful staff. I liked that it was clean, and the cleaning service was done out of sight.
Cons: I would say that I didn't quite get the working of the TV, but that was a minute issue in respect to everything else about the hotel.
Location: It was just a couple blocks from Central Park and close to all the high end shopping, great restaurants and quaint coffee shops, and the subway.
I spent the weekend at this hotel in the jr. suite with a full kitchen I and absolutely loved it though I didn't use the kitchen. it was less than a 5 min. walk from Central Park and close to nearly everything, not to mention that the subway was a 7 minute walk away as well, so all of the boroughs were accessible. It was quite, very clean and had helpful friendly staff. The impression I had was that it seemed geared towards families, so it was busy but it still felt like you were their only client and they knew and remembered who we were and our unit despite having a full hotel. It was ritzy without being bougie or pretentious. I recommend getting the hotel car to pick you up if you're going to stay here, because my journey from Newark airport was hectic and the cost was pretty much the same (well, we were a group), and I made sure to leave using the hotel car.

Great location and service (will come back)Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Location and great service. For NYC standards room was gigantic and it had small fully stocked kitchen.
Cons: Bathroom could use a facelift but it was clean and well maintained.
Location: Excellent restaurants filled with locals. Check out "Felice 64"and "le pain quotidien" both walking distance and awesome food.
Stayed for five nights at the end of May. Hotels is in great location away from craziness of midtown and times square but a quick walk or a subway ride to it all. Close to great restaurant and few minutes from central park. Check out Roosevelt Island which is nearby and feels like an oasis in the middle of NYC. Will stay again next time in NYC.

Great HotelPosted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: Great location, comfortable rooms.
Location: Close to Central Park and several great restaurants.
This is a great hotel for the price. It's in a nice part of town that is close to everything. Our room was on the main floor and we had our own patio with a little table & chairs. It was so nice to have our coffee out there in the morning. The beds were super comfortable! The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Our room was close to the coffee/tea room which was very convenient. We borrowed the hotel bikes and rode around Central Park which was awesome!

Stylish Area.Posted May 22, 2014
Pros: The size of the apartment - Junior Suite. The location was great.
Cons: Free WiFi in every apartment.
Location: Excellent public transport, didn't use a taxi at all in a week. Near to Bloomingdales, exclusive shops, Museum Mile (too many to appreciate properly).
Very happy with this hotel/apartment, although not as much kitchen equipment provided as in European chain apartments - guess we could have asked if necessary.

Nice enoughPosted May 20, 2014
Pros: Size of room Kitchenette Location
Cons: Cleaner rooms Update furniture and decor
Location: Ten minutes Walt to central park
Great location in Manhattan. Our suite was big for NY standards. Small kitchenette and fridge useful for extended stays. Like most accommodations in Manhattan, this one is expensive. Room decor and furniture are dated and showing signs of wear.
