Was upgraded complimentary to a one bedroom suite which was great, had a little kitchen, living room area and desk area. Had a view of Madison Sqaure garden building.

Pros: Location to Madison square
Cons: Bathroom and noise. We could hear the other room next door ver easily
We went to an event at Madison square garden and it was right across the street. I thought overall it is a good hotel. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The room, like any room in Manhattan was small, but had everything we needed. Outside of Madison Square, there is not much to do very close to the hotel. You need to get in a cab or walk to check things out. That is really the only thing I didn't like that much, was the location to a lot of the other things we wanted to see.

Definite a 2 star hotelPosted Oct 20, 2014
Whoever did a "renovation" at this hotel forgot that it takes way more then just putting nice furniture in the room to make it look good. Chipped tile , muddy windows , mildew all over bathroom appliances seems to be typical for this hotel as I had to switch rooms 3 times and finally decided to give up and check out .

WoopsPosted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: The staff
Cons: Would be nice if the rooms were a little bigger
Location: Nicely located to shops
Unfortunately I booked the WRONG hotel, BUT. Once my mistake was clear, the staff at the hotel worked to transfer me and my husband to the correct one. We had to spend a night at this hotel which was clear and comfortable. I totally recommend this hotel and thank the staff for all there hard work.

Location: Opposite Maddison Square Garden, 2 min walk to Macy's, 5 min walk to Empire State Building, 20 walk to Time Square & Penn station over the road.
Stayed 4 nights, staff very helpful, perfect location. Room large, hotel facilities great, noise minimal. Complimentary wine between 5/6 was great to help get to know people. Thanks Affina for helping make a perfect holiday.

Top hotel in a top locationPosted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Location/facilities/friemndly staff/breakfast/size of room
Cons: It was noisy but I think all hotels in this area would be. Church bells ringing at 0700 was a bit hard to take after a late night!!!
Location: Shopping, Pitt Station on the doorstep, Madison Square Garden over the road, Macy's around the corner, delis on the doorstep. Chloice. Choice. Choice.
A few people suggested we might be disappointed in our choice of the Affinia Manhattan because of its location. However we thought we chose perfectly. It was a great hotel. Our room was spacious and bright and we loved our location between Times Square and close proximity to Soho and Chelsea. We loved being 'in the middle'. The staff were very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice central locationPosted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: Great security!
Cons: Adjustable room temperature would've been nice, it was very cool and no way to warm up -heat wasn't turned on yet.
Location: Kitty corner to MSG - very cool! Whole Food market just down the street.
Very appealing location in Midtown close to the action but not right on top! Quiet (for NYC).
