In the heart of Harlem, a near-gemPosted Jan 23, 2015
The Hotel looks good inside and out. The rooms are clean and functional--good for the business traveler. Around the content from the Apollo. I was just there for a night. The corridor to the elevator was kind of messy. One of the two elevators was out of service. And the staff weren't super-attentive. I had to work to get some help printing a boarding pass. But overall I'd go again!

Great location and great hotelPosted Jan 8, 2015
I chose to stay here for 2 weeks. As a woman traveling alone i was concerned about staying so far out of town (about 3 blocks north of central park) but my fears were needless. The hotel was 2 streets away from the A train subway and about 5 streets from the 1,2,3 subway. The rooms were modern and clean. There is breakfast and sandwiches and bar snacks available from the hotel.

Modern, clean, close to the subwayPosted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: It was new and clean.
Cons: Just gotta deal with the smaller rooms (not claustrophobic small).
Room was clean, albeit a little small. Value for money. Staff was friendly.

Good FindPosted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: Location, room layout, cleanliness, staff.
Location: Starbucks close by, restaurants and movie theater
A wonerful hotel priced perfect for the space. It was clean and the staff was great. Didn't get a chance to check out the bar but hope to another time as we would return. The only issue was a running toilet that we kept quite by closing the bathroom door and the bed was squeaky with every turn. It was nothing to coplain about as everything else was okay. Hopefully they will fix the toilet. Overall a great experience!

Close to Columbia UniversityPosted Dec 28, 2014
Pros: The staff at the hotel was wonderful--helpful, understanding, and cheerful. The beds were very comfortable (memory foam maybe) and the room was clean
Cons: It was VERY dark in the room making reading difficult. Gray and black walls. Also, no bureaus for clothes.
Location: Nice location with many restaurants close by.
My husband and I spent a long week-end visiting our son who was In NYC from Sweden for a week. He told me to get a hotel close to Columbia. Well, we are down-home midwesterners, and when I found out that Columbia was in Harlem (OMG) I wanted a safe hotel. Now that I have experienced Harlem and learned about its incredible transformation, I really didn't need to worry.
