“Great Value in Brooklyn”

The Aloft hotel was in our price range for a trip to NYC. The subway is 2 blocks away and Lower Manhattan is just 10-15 min away. The neighborhood is older and usually pretty empty on our morning and evening walks to/from the subway. We always felt safe. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The service and amenities were great - 2 new water bottles every day! The rooms were somewhat smaller than rooms at other leading hotels but we weren't there much so we didn't mind. The hallways are more narrow than you are used to as well but you just walk through them! The 24/7 food bar had just about anything you need for a quick breakfast or snack. There was a bar in the lobby but we didn't use it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bargain room who doesn't mind riding the subway 15-30 minutes to anything you want in Manhattan. We prefer to save (lots of) money than to be able to walk out the door and be at Times Square. The Aloft was a great value!

“Hidden gem in dowtown brooklyn area”

Once I walked into the hotel to.check in I was greeted with a warm welcome. Service was fast and the layout of the hotel was lovely. There's also very modern and futuristic look to the place and I found the colorful elevators to be cool. Overall its a fun and hip hotel.

“Good Place to Stay”

Very much pleased with my stay at the Aloft New York Brooklyn Hotel. The room was small in size; not much closet space. Very compact but neat and clean. Very close to bus and subway transportation. I would stay here again, also I would recommend this hotel to others.

“Aloft Hotel Stay”

This hotel is a great place to stay. It's just been built and there are a few kinks still being worked out, but they did not affect our stay at all, which says a lot about the staff and the workmanship in building the place. We were able to walk to the subway station within 3 minutes. The hotel shares the Sheraton's pool, so we were able to swim while there. It's a fun place to stay, the wifi was easy to access in the room, the computers were new and were fast! I didn't feel uncomfortable in the neighborhood, and there were a few fast food restaurants located nearby. Enjoyed the stay.

“Nice hotel and a great price”

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel - it's new and it shows. The staff was friendly and helpful, and although we were unable to check in early they blocked our room off for us and held our bags so we could enjoy the afternoon. The rooms were small but immaculate. The neighborhood was quiet after hours and on Sunday, but the metro was easily located for access to the city. Definitely worth the price.

“Can't wait to go back - Staff is great!”

I was 'rerouted' to Sheraton when my original hotel was not available. My daughter and I love the hotel. Great-helpful staff, great location- right by subway stations to get around. Room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will be back when we are in the city.

“It is a pretty hip place, and we have stayed there now, 2 weekends.”

It is a brand new, well designed and very clean hotel. The lobby has a pool table, and there is a small swimming pool which is shared with the Sheraton, next door. The size of the hotel room is good, and the bathroom is well designed, The room is comfortable, but the air conditioner cycles off and on all night, and is noisy, so it wakes you up, and when it is cycled off, the comforter on the bed is too warm, an annoying problem. The neighborhood is not a walking area, so you are pretty dependent on a car to get away, and there is really no place you would want to go in the immediate neighborhood, for instance if you felt like going for a walk to get a snack, a drink, or breakfast. We have stayed there on 3 weekends because it is very reasonably priced, and our family lives in Brooklyn, and it is a nice hotel.
