Boutique hotel in middle of Brooklyn

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Bigger lobby
Location: Middle of downtown Brooklyn - convenient to everything
Staff was always helpful and cheery. Room was an amazing excellent use of space and bed was great. The location suited us by providing a base for a memory trip back to Brooklyn.

Convenient place to stay while in New York

Posted Apr 15, 2014
My boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend. It was our first visit to New York, and I would recommend it to anyone. We valet our car in a near by lot (Vic's parking) it was $55 dollars every 24 hours because we had an SUV (jeep patriot). Staff at the front desk allowed us to check in early, they gave us a map that we used all weekend for the subways and attractions. This hotel is walking distance to the Brooklyn bridge which is amazing to walk beautiful view and if you're short on time you can rent bikes to bike over the bridge. Hotel is close to subway station so it was easy to get to and the subway ran all night. we took the train home from the Yankee game in the Bronx at 12:30 am and it took us about a half hour to get back to Brooklyn. All in all great trip - comfy beds, cool glassed in shower and great morning coffee! Definitely will return :) Thanks!

Funky hotel but several drawbacks

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Good location to metro Hoyt street and Jay st stations.
1. Noisy construction site next to hotel with work commencing around 7 am. So if you plan to sleep in it's noisy. 2. Our TV wasn't working and had to be fixed 2 nights in a row and on the 3rd night had to be replaced all together 3. Desk staff needed prompting a number of times to do what they said they would. 4. Our toilet flooded on our 7th night and had to wait to get plumber to fix it the next morning. 5. Ran out of breakfast eggs, bagel etc. by 9.20 am. Apart from that, not a bad hotel.

Very nice hotel.

Pros: Loved the style of this hotel. our rooms were clean, beds were comfortable.
Cons: Parking was my only issue. Thought the hotel had a parking facility. we had to use the public parking lot around the block.
Location: Walking distance to the Barclay Center.
Clean, comfortable rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was great, I was very impressed.

Pros: very clean, workers were very respectful and courteous.
Cons: It would be nice if the staff (housekeepers had a serice elevator to use) there were a few times we waited quite a long time as they were using it.
Location: Everything was in walking distance, very convenient.
When I arrived, the front desk cleark (Marsha) was very kind, polite and provided great customer service. Everyone seemed to be very pleasant. The bartender (Tonya) was also awesome! I'm ready to plan my next stay at the Aloft.
