The front desk upgraded us to a larger room (possibly because an ADA accessible room was available) which was unexpected and very nice after a long travel day. The room was the quietest hotel room I've had in a NYC hotel in years! Also, it is unique in that the halls, elevators, etc do not smell like pot smoke. Every NYC hotel (except top tier I guess) stinks, but this one doesn't. So, two big pluses for this property!

It was very centrally loacted for the things that we had planned to do. Right in Times Square and only a few blocks to Central Park. We arrived before check-in, but since they had a room that was ready they allowed us to go ahead and drop our luggage off at our room and freshen up before heading out to explore.

Excellent service and courteous staff. The room was small but decent. The WiFi signal was very weak and kept cutting in and out. Otherwise, I would stay here again!

I’ve travelled from Kingston, Ontario to New York City twice in the past year. I stayed at The Ameritania both times. The rooms are reasonably priced, quiet and quite spacious. The beds are soft and very comfortable. The hotel is clean and the staff are kind and helpful. The location is convenient in that it’s an easy walk to Times Square, shopping, restaurants and theatre. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great experience at the Ameritania for a long weekend. The staff were always helpful and we enjoyed the coffee each morning before heading out. The Cascades at 8th and 54th was convenient and had delicious cheesecake. Other shopping and necessities close by and transportation was easy any way that we tried.

The service was wonderful. The hotel was fun and eclectic. The bed was a on the hard side and a fridge would be nice. Overall though I loved the location bc and ability to walk to the park or a Broadway performance Enjoyed my stay!

The hotel was perfect for this trip, the only thing is that the room thqt was assigned to me was not like the one that I choose, according to the pictures. This one, even though it has a queen bed there is no way that you can accomodate two people in it without steping on each other.... I had to shower with the door open due to the size of the bathroom. It was a big closet not a hotel room.

The location is unbeatable. A quick walk to everything: Broadway shows, Carnegie Hall, museums, Central Park, restaurants and subway stations. The doorman and restricted elevator access made me feel feel confident that only guests were coming through the hotel. Generous-sized waiting lobby with comfortable furniture. All staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I were very pleased with this hotel. We were even able to check in at noon which was so nice because it was pouring out. Close to the theaters and surrounded by great restaurants!! We will definitely be back.

The location and staff service were excellent! However, considering the convenience of the location and the large foot traffic in the hotel, it would be beneficial to upgrade the amenities, including door locks, for enhanced safety. The room I stayed in not only had ripped carpet and uneven flooring, but the walls were also very thin, and the door constantly shook as people walked by.

This was a father-daughter trip, and we had a great time. The staff was so hospitable and kind to my little daughter, and we had a great time. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating, even helping me lift her stroller out of the building every time we came to the steps at the front door. The room was also very clean and they readily provided anything we needed including extra soap and towels.
