Appearance nicer than reality.Posted Mar 27, 2015
Visually pleasant. Bartender not friendly. Wouldn't serve us since he didn't have ice. After waiting 15 mins. we had red wine so we could have a drink. Housekeeping would leave dirty glasses in room....and did not restock facecloths. The hotel did not serve coffee in room without breakfast order...but, they offered me a coffeemaker. That was great except they brought in one that was $2.50/per cup instead of the normal room coffee maker. No ice on floor....always had to be requested and then ice bucket never emptied by housekeeping. A lot of noise from other rooms. Location out of way of public transport. Furniture was worn. Design of rooms nice. Entry lobby lovely. But, it was not what I was expecting. Would rather stay at place less visually attractive from street...but, more friendly and more convenient.

Considering that it's NY, the staff are very courteous and you can beat the price for this quality. Highly recommend!

Great prices, really good rooms and great staffPosted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: The rooms are very nice looking, some great views, very comfortable beds and excellent staff
Cons: The cleaning staff did not clean the room as well as I would have liked. The carpet needed a deep cleaning.
Location: The location was perfect for me because I needed to be close to The Hospital For Special Surgery
When I checked into my room I told the front desk that I booked a room with a King bed and this room had a Full bed. Not only did they immediately changed my room to one with a King bed, they upgraded me to a Suite with no extra charge. This hotel knows how to do things right and keep their guests happy and returning. I would recommend this hotel.

Very Nice Hotel, Very Excellent StaffPosted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness Fresh Linens Friendly Staff
Cons: Nosy level heard between rooms Prices on the mini bar, let's be real is a Kitkat worth $6.00?
Location: Very close to the river, 10-15 minute walk to the Met 15 minute walk to the start of fifth avenue shopping 30 walk to Time Square
Hotel is very appealing to the eyes. Beware though the mini bar, and other charges in the hotel are crazy expensive. We had a breathtaking view of the bridge, make sure you ask for that! If you don't like big pillows (I don't they hurt my neck) bring your own pillow. Also the last two nights of our stay we had very loud guests next to us, don't hesitate to call the front desk they are excellent. Clean rooms, prompt cleaning service. Beds are very comfortable! Doorman will offer to get you transportation to the airport if you need it. Be aware that you will have to walk 15-20 (1-2 miles) minutes to get to most of the attractions in Manhattan.

Nice hotel in Upper East side but out of the wayPosted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff and clean room
Cons: Thermostat was broken and wouldn't cool off room.
Location: About 1.5 miles away from Central Park and Time Square, but closer (1 mile) to some lesser known shops and restaurants
We had made reservations for a room with a king size bed and when we got there, there were only queen beds but we were charged the same price. It's a nice hotel, though, with friendly staff and very clean. The room was a little awkwardly arranged and the thermostat only worked with heat so there was no way to cool down our 80 degree room. It's also over a mile from Central Park, 5th Ave and Time Square, along with other lesser known locations. Overall, it was a good hotel and was sufficient for how long we stayed.

Nice hotel good pricePosted Mar 7, 2015
It was an overall great stay amd about a 10 min cab drive to time square....onlt priblem was that only one elevator worked our first day so we got impatient and walked down 20 floors worth of stairs.
