Misunderstood

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: see comments with experience of hotel.
Cons: secure new restaurant for top floor. When we visited, mid week, we were the only customers. Add a second smaller restaurant instead of ordering out.
Location: Nothing near by except an animal hospital.
Would not book at Bentley again. Did not realize hotel did not offer a selection of restaurants, and as a result, we had to order out quite often. Kosher restaurant disappointing....excessively expensive, and completely out of white wine. Did not realize hotel location so far away from shops/restaurants. None of this is the hotel's fault, all mine for not knowing more about hotel facilities, and location. Room spacious and quite comfortable.

Very comfortable, great location

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: I loved the room, as it was roomy and had a big, comfortable bed and very nice TV.
Cons: Would like ice/vending machines on the floors. Also, an area where you can buy drinks, necessities or snacks would be really useful.
Location: One block from busy, active First Street, which has stores, restaurants, taxicabs and groceries. A good comedy club, deli and Starbucks nearby.
I was extremely pleased with the helpful staff, spacious lobby, upper east side location, and especially with my room. The room is enormous by New York standards and had everything I needed. Even the bathroom was a good size. This was my most pleasant lodging experience in all my years of visiting New York City.

Air Conditioning

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Clean, courteous staff.
Cons: The air-conditioning for sure. Should also provide 2 soap bars instead of one.
Location: Nothing I can think of. Was a family visiting trip.
Hotel needs to update air conditioning. The noise at nice every time the unit cycled woke us up. Other than that stay was pleasant and uneventful.

Schönes Hotel an der äußeren Upper East side

Posted Jul 21, 2015

Decent Enough Hotel but...

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: The bed was comfy and plush.
Cons: The charging you for every little thing is no good.
Location: Everything is basically a $40 cab ride away or you can take your chances with a lot of walking and the subway.
The room was comfy and clean. Too much street noise and they nickel and dime you to death. I lost my cell phone while in NYC, so I had to rely on the hotel room phone. Basically every time I picked up the phone it cost me $20 and paying for wi fi this day in time is ridiculous.

Close to Sloan Kettering

Posted Jul 13, 2015
I stayed for 6 nights recently while my husband was at MSK. He actually stayed he night before surgery and we walked to the hospital the next morning. It was very close to the hospital. The room was larger than I expected and was very comfortable. We had a king size bed which was in a separate room from sitting area. We will stay here again in the future. Upon checking in we were given a map of the area as well as a list of nearby eateries. Parking was in garage under hotel.

Pleasant, clean but...

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: Staff was very helpful and pleasant
Cons: Television reception poor.
Location: Prepare for a 3 to 6 block walk uphill to reach subways. United Nations tour is nearby. Getting to Lincoln Center is easy.
Enjoyed the view of Roosevelt Island Tram from room and afternoon walks along the East River. Took the tram to the island for lunch - very pleasant, peaceful and relaxing. Going places via subway or bus requires a bit of walking. Guest room very small, clean, pleasant but small. Hotel has small bar with light snacks at limited hours and very expensive in-room snacks. Did I mention the room was small?
