Very poor - not good on details and overrated

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Small but important details like hot water took forever to get hot - phone light (message) never went out - three times in 4 days room key didn't work (we were on the 18th floor) and not very responsive staff. I won't go back.

Good hotel for the price

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Very clean hotel and nice staff.
Cons: Parking lot conditions. - Waited very long for attendant to show up, every time. In one case he was sleeping inside a car, we waited over 40mins
Location: Convenient location. Long walk to Rockefeller Center but we like to walk. If you do not want to walk it is probably a 10 min or less cab ride.
This hotel was nice and conveniently located. I would stay here again.

Out of town couple

Posted Sep 18, 2014
Pros: Location & bedding.
Cons: Front entrance is on the bridge on-ramp. Drop off & pick up difficult.
Location: Location is perfect for patients of MSKCC & other area hospitals. Walking distance to Grocery store, pharmacy, convenience store and many restaurants.
Check in was fast efficient and friendly. Room had two full-sized beds and was very small. Bath was very small. Shower splashed out onto floor causing need for daily fresh towels. Small fully stocked fridge. Air conditioner musty smelling. Very small closet, 1 armchair with small round table. No desk. Difficult for two people to sit & eat. Unable to roll luggage between dresser and end of bed. Very small room....second part of adjoining room?

Comfortable and quiet, yet convenient

This hotel is fantastic. Comfortable, large rooms compared to other NY hotels. Comfy bed, excellent water pressure and relatively quiet for third floor room.

deluxe room was little larger than a broom closet

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: that I was staying there fpr one night only
Cons: larger rooms. at least for the 'deluxe'.
Location: location is good
deluxe room was a little larger than a broom closet. parking attendant wanted to know exact time of departure so he could stack up the cars. not relaxed at all.

Great hotel for a good proce

Posted Sep 8, 2014
We stained there for a week. The good news was that we were upgraded to a suite - comfortable, plenty of room for 2 people. The bad news was the very noisy A/C units in both rooms of the suite. This was to top the street noise, ambulances every 5 min. The rooms are not soundproofed at all. We were able to hear the neighbors sneezing... The bar downstairs was OK but way too expensive - a glass of Souvignion Blanc costs $10. The terrace beside the bar was the only place in the hotel where smokinh is allowed.

Peaceful Haven in New York City

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: I liked the size of our room, our window view of the Queensboro bridge and the location distance from everything.
Cons: Food. The menu options are very poor and the food in the rooftop bar was overly priced with not enough options
Location: Location is great - you are far away from the hustle of midtown but near enough to walk there. Lots to do.
For what we were looking to do in NYC (Holiday mixed in with a little bit of business), our experience was a good one. What I enjoyed the most was the size of our room, our view of the Queensboro bridge from our room and our location. The location is far away from the bustle of midtown but not too far away that you cannot walk there. I don't know if others will relate to this but what I liked the most about this hotel was that the staff were almost invisible. In most hotels you are constantly in conversation with one hotel staff after another, here you feel like you can come and go as you please without anyone talking to you or watching your every move. If you really want to feel the energy of NYC, then book this hotel -from about 4am you can already feel the city awake right from under you, our experience was great. We will be coming back to the Bentley Hotel.

Hidden Gem

Nice location. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Room was nice and very clean. Blow dryer was close to salon status, very nice. Bathroom did not have a vent to let out steam. Although, this would not prevent me from staying again.

An ordinary hotel experience

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The doorman was very solicitous.
Cons: Corridor lighting - very dim, to the point of being creepy on the 8th floor where I stayed. The elevators are also very slow.
Location: I was only there for one night but there are several nice restaurants within walking distance.
