I booked this hotel to stay in with my daughter and paid up front. When we turned up, at 2330, it was closed and was being refurbished leaving us stranded in a foreign town!

I like the location and access to the subway station and the Javits Center. The room I had was horrible. It looked like someone spilled coffee on the walls and it was never cleaned up. The floors were filthy and the furnishing's were in terrible shape. I understand that the price was on the low end for NYC, so my expectations should have been lower, but it was bad!

This hotel was basically self serve. No coffee in room. Coffee maker dirty. Dirty facecloths removed from room and not replaced. Had to ask for everything.

Front desk was no help for anything. Didn't know the neighborhood, or how to get around the city. Bathroom had lots of random hair all over. Bed was more like a futon than an actual bed. It seemed more like a hostel than a hotel.

I typically stay in three star, hotels or better. Not because I’m a snob because I like the place to be safe and clean. This place was neither. The room did not look anything like described in the picture. When I got into the room clearly it had not been cleaned thoroughly and there was a used bath towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. Tub was in need of caulking and really replacement. I asked for room service the next morning; I put the sign on the door but no one ever showed up. I had to ask again. They went in eventually and all they did was change the towels not even did they didn’t make the beds. They didn’t clean anything. They never left any coffee or cups to drink water or coffee from, I had to ask the front desk for them for the both days I stayed there. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had anywhere, especially in Manhattan. I would’ve checked out and got another hotel, but I didn’t really have the time to do so and I was only there two nights. I was out of the room a good portion of the day which helped. Worst booking experience by far through Expedia. Very very disappointing.

The stay is great - one suggestion is to pls cancel the luggage fee - your hotel is decent - and a decent hotel doesn’t charge fees for helping your clients to check their luggage for a little bit before or after the time they are check in or check out. Otherwise I would have have really enjoyed the stay.

Location was the only thing I liked, because it was so close to Javits. Room was so tiny, that it was hard to move around. And I was solo. Cannot even imagine if a couple was staying there. I could make myself coffee, turn on tv, AC, reach out in the closet and iron - ALL while on a bed lol TV channels were weird. Bathroom in the lobby was out of service. There was no breakfast (when I was booking, it stated $15 fee for breakfast option) They charged $5 twice to hold my bag behind front desk (day I arrived and the day I was leaving) None of other hotels ever charged for that.

The toilet didn't flush well in the room I was in so I had to flush twice and at one point the water system was shut off one morning without notice so the faucet and toilet wasn't working at all and had to use the restroom in the lobby. It was working after a couple of hours though so that was good. The staff was nice and the room was clean. I would stay here again if I get a room where the toilet worked.

No power from outlets
The outlets seem as if they are in a timer or something. I checked in all the outlets worked but when I got back to the room to charge my phone & watch t.v. nothing worked!!!!!!! I went to front desk, because there was no cord in the phone to use it, I was told the technician was gone & there was nothing they could do. This is truly a 'you get what you pay for hotel.

So that was my worst experience in a hotel ever, we didn’t feel safe?m, everyone can go inside the building and go upstairs to the bedrooms, we found a homeless inside, smell like pee, but the worst experience was with the staff, we reported about or bathtub not draining the water, we had to wait more than 2 hours to the water to go down and so the other one could take a shower, the guys in the lobby didn’t help, he was speaking in other language in front of us, didn’t change our bedroom after we went downstairs to complain, he said he couldn’t, the sheets were all dirt and they cleaned the bedroom only twice and only light clean, the floor were dirty, bed and a lot dust. The worst hotel ever, no good service or amenities. This property is horrible.

The room had paint chips and stains on the walls. The TV had about 8 channels. No mini fridge in the room or ice bucket. We didn’t care much, as we just slept there. Overall, a very primitive property.

We stayed for two nights. Toilet didn’t work - five flushes to clear any toilet paper. Most returned. Reported day 1. Nothing done full stay. Tv did not work. Reported day 1. Re-reported day 2 and addressed. Air conditioning did not work.”fixed” day 2 though engineer was very honest that it absolutely needed replaced. After he fixed it it fell off the wall completely. Bathroom was clean but mouldy. Wardrobe has plasters left on it. Clear no cleaning under bed, on top of eye level wardrobe and in desk drawers. Place is one or two blocks away from feeling safe. Did not feel clean. Black bags and large cardboard boxes all over the front area. Was ignored at front desk by staff member for at least 5 minutes at check in. Other than one friendly member of staff and the engineer being pleasant I have nothing positive about this stay.

We chose a low budget hotel and were not surprised by what we got. It shows minor wear and tear but the elevator and air conditioning worked. It was convenient enough for tourist attractions and great to access the convention center and train station. I would stay there again.

This is a hotel that’s in need of a makeover. The area is amazing but the hotel is run down. The amenities are a lie. They do not offer free breakfasts. Bathroom was dirty and it was definitely tight

I would call this hotel "adequate" and affordable for NYC and a not picky traveler. I was the only one staying in the room. It was in a convenient location for my intended purposes while in the City. I really only needed it for showering and sleeping so simplicity was fine for me. However, for the discerning, it is a dated, zero frills, small hotel. There is one elevator, no fridge, the tv didn't work, and they must have used a strange solution to clean the floors in the room as they were sort of slimy feeling. There was shampoo but no conditioner, soaps were tiny, poor water stream in the shower, stiff towels, an old broken soap dispenser on the bathroom wall, only decaf coffee in the room, the bed pillows were tiny, no coffee in the lobby, and I didn't see any vending machines. No pool or gym. Pluses: very quiet in the room as not on a busy street and small hallways with few rooms off of them; the air conditioner cranked really well; and the woman who checked me in was kind. Frankly, I would stay there again if I were visiting NYC for the same purpose again. I would not stay there with my family.

I’m not a fussy tourist. I just wanted a place to sleep in after exploring the city. I would have booked a place without all the furnishings and fixtures for a cheaper price but no such place so this suffice. It was cheap but comfortable enough.
