Nice HotelPosted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Close to the activity, for which we visited Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY
Location: Located in a residential area, of apartment buildings, with a short walk to shopping and food establishments.
Although the hotel was undergoing renovation, we found our room to be pleasant and clean; the breakfast area to be pleasant and clean, with the breakfast food to be adequate and similar to other hotels, that we have stayed at; and, we found the hotel staff to be pleasant, efficient, and accommodating. Being familiar with the local area, we knew, in advance, that there would be an issue, with parking, hence, we knew that valet parking would be required, whereby, we found them to be pleasant and accommodating.

Unique Old-timerPosted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: Extremely Convenient Location. Very nice and accommodating staff.
Cons: Best Western needs to think re-model, not re-muddle.
Location: Scores of restaurants, bars, and plenty of shopping of every kind, all basically just around the corner. NYC subway station just steps away.
We were in Bay Ridge for a funeral, so there this is the only pick for convenience. The valet parking was a godsend for us because the couple of days had a tight schedule. The rooms are comfortably furnished, good bed, and quite nice bathroom all spotlessly clean. There is a slight rumble of the subway deep below the street, but not enough to disturb, and we were only on the 2nd floor. If you have the time (we didn't), I would skip the very Best Western breakfast, and go to Hinsch's for breakfast on 85th & Fifth. Above all, the staff were delightful, helpful in any way you will need.

Good deal for the price you payPosted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Clean, close to the busy 86th street business area
Cons: Customer service -- be a little less stringent on checkouts. Parking -- $25/day for valet -- but if you take the car out and bring it back it is more
Location: Very close to transportation (subway, buses, taxi, car service), food (from fast food to upscale restaurants are within 2 to three blocks)
The room was neat, without any odors. The young African-American lady at the front desk was extraordinarily courteous and pleasant mannered during check-in. The hotel is the least expensive in the most expensive area of Brooklyn. If you have just an ordinary car (rental etc), you'll find parking if you take the time to go around a few blocks. On 3rd avenue (1 block down) there are some upscale restaurants of all kind -- American, Chinese, Indian, etc.
