Praktisch hotel in New York

Posted May 3, 2015

I never thought I'd have such a helpful experience

Posted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: Their kindness and servants heart
Cons: Tough call here. The room was small for my normal heel stays but that could be overlooked with regards to all the other treasures of how they serve.
Location: I can't---We were too busy getting responsibilities accomplished
For the location that we were placed in for our Daughter's wedding location our hotel was so helpful in getting us to the locations that we needed to get to via the subway, taxi and uber. They were very kind with a servant's heart, committed to giving us the very best information needed to get us to each location. They were concerned that we fully understood the instructions which was very assuring to me when I needed the very best and accurate information. If I would ever travel to that part of Brooklyn again I would hunt this hotel down and give them my business with no hesitation. Even the breakfast room had a women with such a tender servants heart in many ways that I only seem to get when I eat at an up scale restaurant.

Pros: Bed, bedsheet and pillows
Cons: Parking should be available to all checked in guest
Stayed for 2 nights, The hotel was located beside the train station although it doesnt come often you can hear the loud noise when it comes, parking is first come first serve basis and its full when we check in,difficult to park on the street, the room is cramped with furnitures and the housekeeping didn't come back when we left the room so towels weren't changed, the upside? Bed and pillows very comfortable, sheets are nice and the night staff ( gabrielle ) was nice and helpful, breakfast is not great but ok.

Great for a night

Don't drive to fast you'll miss it! The staff was great. Though it close to the train like you hear the train, and if your on the first floor they start getting breakfast ready at 3 am and they are not quite about it. The breakfast was great though. The rooms were clean and nice. Food is close enough to walk to. For one nights it's great but if I had to stay a week... I'm not sure . Also there is limited parking like 8 spots. It's all first come first serve!

Best Western Plus Arena hotel

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: See above. Transport links (A and C subway, Long Island Railroad and buses) are good.
Cons: See my comments above on the refrigerator in the room.
Location: The Brooklyn Museum and Art Gallery and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens are within easy reach of the hotel. Both are well worth visiting.
1. This is a well-run hotel. The main drawbacks are the location in an area that is dimly lit at night and situated in front of a busy railway line at first floor level and a busy road below. The neighbourhood appears to be safe. We were given helpful directions on two occasions by local residents. 2. The room was well appointed. However, the refrigerator developed a roar during one of the two nights of our stay. There was no means of switching it off. 3. The hotel staff were efficient and made us feel welcome.

Oversold on the hotel

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros : close to subway, reasonable price for NY city (although Brooklyn), free breakfast Cons : too much noise from train running right outside hotel, breakfast doesnt have hot options (no scrambled eggs even), parking is very limited (they mention it briefly but it is an issue for those looking to park), wifi was too slow to the point of being unusable (and hotel staff wouldnt do much about it), fitness center was pretty basic, room was pretty small, very shady location and I mean lots of dubious looking people around. All in all, ok but overrated.

Brooklyn

Very friendly staff. Noisy locations due to train just in front of the building. Convenient to subway. Neighborhood ok but not much to see or do in walking distance. Did not feel safe walking back from subway at night.
