Perfect to celebrate my 40th with my family! Rooms were fabulous and had the best trip ever. This hotel is great for couples, families or friends wanting a large apartment style room. Perfect would definitely return xx

Great location, not a Great HotelPosted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: Most of the staff were friendly and very obliging. Breakfast was fairly good and there was a lot of it.
Cons: The sofa bed in room 9C certainly needs replacing and a few more tables available for breakfast would be good.
Location: Good location - short walk to Grand Central, 15 mins to Times Square or Rockefeller Plaza. Some good places to eat in the immediate vicinity.
I chose this hotel for a break with my 3 teeenage children, after reading the positive comments from other contributors. I had also stayed in a Best Western hotel in Copenhagen and had been very impressed. We were given a one bedroom apartment on the 9th floor with a double sofa bed. It was very spacious, clean and well equipped. However, when we opened the sofa bed to make it up, we found a rather dirty sheet left on it presumably from a previous guest. The 'new' linen was in a bag in the wardrobe - it wasn't of the best quality not very fresh, certainly not ironed and one of the blankets was stained. The sofa bed itself was dreadful; the frame diped in the middle and the mattress was thin and lumpy. There didn't seem to be much surprise when I complained but was told a mattress topper would be brought up - this, when it arrived, turned out to be a square of slightly grubby looking yellow foam which wasn't even as big as the bed. Because it was my two sons who were sharing it (and they can sleep just about anywhere) we made the best of it but it was certainly way below the standard I was expecting and really not acceptable. We had paid for an apartment that slept four and therefore feel we were entitled to two beds of comparable quality even though we knew one was a sofabed. The hotel are very generous and thoughtful with all they provide in the way of complimentary toiletries, welcome baskets etc. Personally I would have foregone all that for two decent beds.

Highly recommendedPosted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: The breakfast was actually a full breakfast menu which I have never heard about in other NYC hotels and the loc. was close to everything in the city
Cons: Elevator is very small
Overall, the facility was better than I expected. I was kind of skeptical due to previous experiences with other NYC hotels. The check in process was quick and easy except for one of the staff which if I am not mistaken was a hotel manager. Me and my guest did not feel that welcomed with him per se but other than that I can't complain. I reserved the 2 bedrooms penthouse suite which accommodate 6 guests but was told that only 3 other guests was allowed. The penthouse suite is definitely worth booking. Plenty of room and so HUGE!!! It also has a big outdoor terrace with a great view of the city and 2 full bathrooms and full kitchen with appliances and flatware included. A welcome basket was also given to us which was very delightful. I had a great time and will definitely be returning again.

Spacious rooms, good locationPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: Location, size of rooms, breakfast included
Cons: Air con units are noisy
This hotel is in a great location, within very easy walking distance of Rockerfeller Centre, Grand Central & Times Square. The rooms are extremely spacious & well maintained. Lots of toiletries provided & ample towels. It was kept very clean. The only downside is the noise at night from Garbage trucks etc but this was only a problem for one of our party of four (the rest slept through it!) The breakfast was more than adequate & free- what more do you need?! The subway station just around the corner on Lexington Ave make it very easy to get around the City & also to JFK airport.

Great apartment at the heart of everythingPosted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: The apartment style, breakfast was provided and it was excellent value for money.
Cons: Six women sharing one bathroom! Ample space in king room to add on a small shower room which would alleviate some peak bathroom time pressure!
Location: Within easy walking distance of The Rock, Times Square, 5th avenue, Grand Central and the hop on/hop off bus stop. The location couldn't be better.
We chose this hotel because of the location and the space available and it exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect base for our shopping/sightseeing stay in NYC. Our apartment was 5A, it had 2 bedrooms; a king and a twin. The king room was huge, both bedrooms had air con, the twin room's air con was very noisy but the ear plugs provided by the hotel cut out the noise level significantly. The living dining room had a sofa bed which wasn't great but we took turns on it, so this wasn't a problem. Each room had a flat screen TV and the dining table had plenty of room to sit six adults. The kitchen was great, good sized fridge freezer. We didn't use it for cooking but there were plenty of pots, pans and utensils provided should you want to.

Fantastic hotel, great place to stayPosted Aug 30, 2013
Pros: Really loved the location, comfort and welcoming feel.
Cons: There could be better sound proofing materials around the air conditioning units as they are installed in the windows with only plastic infills.
Location: Great location, nice and safe for walking around, easy to reach all the main tourist attractions, shopping and places to eat on the door step.
If you want to stay close to all the attractions then this is a fantastic place to stay. The hotel staff were all so friendly and helpful, they made our whole family feel welcome. Our apartment was spacious, well furnished and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was included, it was self service and was well organised, constantly being replenished and the room kept clean and tidy. The hotel is in a great location, we felt very safe as a family walking around the area and it is within walking distance of many attractions such as Times Square and Central Park. For anything further we found it easier and cheaper to take a cab. The only downside was the noise from the street at night but the hotel provided earplugs to counteract this. The city is noisy and as they say it never sleeps.

Pleasant small apartment-style hotelPosted Aug 13, 2013
Pros: We liked the room, bed arrangement with 2 teenagers, the location, the breakfast, kitchen, and the staff.
Cons: The lobby area, elevator, breakfast area are small.
Best Western Hospitality Plus appears to be a former apartment building converted to a hotel. The suite was perfect for grandparents with 2 teen age grandchildren. The sofa bed and rollaway in the living room were comfortable for the children, while we had a nice bedroom with a queen size bed. The kitchen had all the amenities we expected. The staff was extremely accommodating, and the free breakfast daily was another attractive feature. The location was within walking distance of Central Park, Fifth Avenue, United Nations, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, many NY attractions. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect place to stay! Nothing to complain about!Posted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our stay was just perfect! Located at very convenient location, close to everything, within 9 blocks from Central Park. We stayed in 1 bedroom suite and I was pleasantly shocked by the room size. It is very spacious for NY standards. Front desk person (don't know his name) let us to check in at 1 pm instead of 3! And it was Friday! We were super happy about this because we drove all the way from Chicago and needed shower desperately :) Breakfast was very decent and server was very nice too. Just nothing to complain about. I will definitely stay there again!
