“Bad experience”

I'm very disappointed with hotel service... Bad experience with information desk, problems with door lock that despite maintenance be called still not fixed. Tried to use room safe but attendant insisted that it would cost 10 times more than explained on the label at room and offerred wireless connection at room did not worked at all. The shuttle service and location is pretty good for who wants to visit Manhattan without paying too much on the old hotels, but need to improve a lot to be a good choice.

“Great place and super friendly staff!!!”

For a hotel close to the airport - it was perfect!!! I called and spoke with front desk and they explained to me how to find the hotel shuttle at airport -then a wonderful person showed in ten minutes and picked me and my luggage up! Arrived at hotel to a super friendly staff who was just wonderful and i checked in quickly! Got to my room and it was great! Bed was awesome and so were the pillows!!! For such a low price this hotel really was great!! My room was clean, comfy and huge!!! Loved it!! Breakfast was standard hotel buffet fare, but again the service was excellent and it was a free breakfast so i am not sure how people can complain. I just wish it had a restaurant, there was nothing close by to eat at except airport and i did not want to go there until it was time.....

“Shuttle to airport took 45 minutes to pick us up....”

The room was fine, but the shuttle service took 45 min to pick us up at 11pm. Finally when a Best Western shuttle pulled up, we jumped in, ready to get back to our car. After a few minutes we noticed we were heading downtown- not to BW at the airport. The driver never said where he was going, and when we asked him to bring us back to the airport or the BW at the airport he refused. He said it was his last run of the night and dropped us off on the side of the road to get a cab. $20 and another 15 minutes later we were back at the correct hotel....So frustrating after a long flight!

“Good value overall”

Quite a good location although the hotel surroundings are a bit too "industrial". But great breakfast and very nice and helpful staff. If all you want to do is get close to New York, be comfortable and not spend a lot of money this is a winner.

The overall impression is good even if, during our stay, there is maintenance of the hotel, but our rooms are clean and confortable. The hotel is a good point of departure for visiting manhattan as it is proximity to Penn Station. There is a free shuttle every hour to the station ( ask to the staff for detailed schedule) and every half hour to the airport.

“Great location to access Uptown NY via the Staten Island Ferry”

The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The parking was easy and we we able on our weekend visit to easily get to the Staten Island Ferry so we could visit Uptown NY. This was a much affordable location to stay at overnight while visiting Uptown NY.

“Not pleased at all”

My family and I thought this hotel was very hard to find, and without further directions from the hotel staff, we would have never found it. Upon arrival in a very undesirable location, the parking lot was a mess. It is very tight and the hotel's Mercedes' airport shuttles were taking up large amount of room. Once we got someone to move the vehicles, we went in to find that the room we had booked was taken. The desk clerk upgraded us to a suite at no additional charge, which was no big deal because we were only looking for a decently priced place to rest our heads. The room and bathroom were clean and without problems. The pullout sofa bed did not look like the sheets were changed, so we did not want our son to sleep under the covers. Check out was a breeze, no problems there. The breakfast was adequate with your standard instant eggs, and some other dishes. Upon reviewing my credit card statement, this hotel actually charged me for the room, even though Expedia had the charges taken care of. This is currently being disputed.Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would say to pay the few extra dollars and go to the Newark Marriott which was clearly marked and accessible, and a reputable name. There definitely will not be a second visit from us.
