Hotel close to Newark AirportPosted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Price and quality as well as having a restaurant on premises.
Cons: TV remote needed a new battery - didn't work unless I was right in front of the TV. Update the appearance of the restaurant.
Location: Newark Airport, New York City, Newark Museum
A nice hotel located in an ugly area. Parking is ample and free. The entrance into the hotel is unspectacular, but, once inside, it's quite nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a restaurant/bar on site, which is aesthetically not pleasing, but the food is good and tasty, and very reasonably priced. Our room was quite nice. Comfortable beds and many amenities. The bathrooms were very clean and nicely appointed. Free breakfast in the morning. I was very comfortable here.

Great place for the pricePosted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: Not sure for now
Location: I didn't have a chance to see around as I was there for just one night
Quality hotel with everything I hoped to see. The complimentary breakfast was particularly good as I had to catch another flight. My room was a little too far from the elevators; other than that, I'd come back to this place anytime I can

Nice HotelPosted Apr 1, 2014
This is a great place to stay as you travel to/from Newark airport. They run shuttle buses 24hrs a day to/from the airport. The staff is nice and the room is comfortable. I couldnt access the internet with the passcode I was given.

Stay...but don't eat therePosted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Room, staff
Cons: Terrible food
Location: the location is relatively convenient to the airport and the shuttle to the airport is efficient, but you have to take a cab there from the airport.
We stayed at the Best Western before an early morning flight, and found the room comfortable and nicely appointed and comfortable and the staff accommodating, but the food in the hotel restaurant was terrible. Pressed shredded chicken in a gloppy dark gravy is not chicken marsala. The other choices were nearly equally bad. Bring your food from somewhere else, go hungry, but don't eat there.

It was close to the airportPosted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: as above
Cons: It was all good
Location: We would have had quite a time getting to it due to over/under passes etc.
Close to airport for us to make great connections, and except for a bit of a wild ride in the van when were picked up to get through traffic etc. at rush hour... all was good. The hotel staff were very good, as we had pre booked, and the room was awesome. It had 3 windows so we could see the New York skyline. The train noise across the tracks was a bit loud but after awhile we never heard it. The food was good and we enjoyed the exercise room. Thanks for a great stay. Blair & Darlene Bastian

Everything was good except for the shuttle to Penn station. We were lied to about pickup times.

Pros: Rooms were fair.
Location: Not good!
Being close to the airport is convenient, but it's not in the best area! It's difficult to get to, poor parking, etc..

Good layover hotel close to Newark Liberty airportPosted Mar 20, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Newark Liberty. Large rooms with 2 Queen beds. Courteous and helpful staff. Decent restaurant with reasonable prices. Free shuttle.
Cons: Room lighting was a little dim. Elevators were very slow.
Location: Close to the airport - that's about it! :-)
We stayed here twice at both ends of a Caribbean vacation. It is very close to the airport (5 minutes by shuttle - which are well organized) yet still fairly soundproof. We requested a room with 2 Queen beds to accomodate a family of 4. The beds & pillows were comfortable, the room was clean. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise - more choice and better quality food than I was expecting. It's not a 4 or 5 star hotel so my expectations for an inexpensive but comfortable layover stop close to Newark airport were well met. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for the same.

It was okPosted Mar 18, 2014
It was alright but not more more than two nights, do not expect luxury in anyway.
